Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, and Sheryl Crow are among a number of celebrities urging Americans to “reject the NRA” and concealed carry of firearms in the wake of the shooting at a Las Vegas country music concert this month.
Laura Dern, Bill Hader, and Adam Scott are also taking part in the anti-gun campaign, as is noted gun control advocate Julianne Moore. The celebrities are part of the Michael Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety PSA against the NRA specifically, and against gun rights generally.
In typical Everytown fashion, the PSA does not present real solutions to the attack in Vegas–after all, the attacker complied with all gun controls, including background checks, so no new law would have stopped him. Even gun control advocate Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) admitted as much on the October 8 airing of Face the Nation. Therefore, in lieu of a substantive position, the celebrities are urging Americans to call Congress and oppose things that had nothing to do with the Las Vegas attack.
“The mass shooting in Las Vegas has all of us grieving, scared and angry,” Stone opens the video. From here, various other celebrities appear, telling people to text “REJECT” to Everytown. They inform viewers that the gun control group will call those who text, give them contact numbers for lawmakers, and “give [them] guidelines” on what to say when they talk to their lawmakers.

Me, too. I’ve been breathlessly waiting to hear what “celebrities” have to say on the matter. I’m so glad I waited. I might have done something foolish without their guidance. Between them and the nanny state, I feel very safe at night.
The idiots overlook the fact before Steven Paddock turned into a mass murderer, he was a law-abiding gun owner.
His arsenal or the lack of it, had zero to do with what happened that night. Its the values, stupid.

Right, because Americans have proven that they care what celebrities think about stuff. We watch the dancing bear perform, we don’t care about the noises it makes after it’s done dancing.
A young guy I work with had three “yutes” try to mug him last weekend, one with an aluminum baseball bet. He’s got one hell of a bruise on his left arm. His right arm pulled his XD40 and they ran away. A relative of another employee was carjacked by a nutcase with a knife who cut her arm and ordered her to drive out into the country. When they stopped she took the opportunity to pull her legally carried pistol and he ran. He was caught later. Suddenly fellow employees who considered us nuts for packing are asking us how to get licensed.
If someone in the crowd had had a gun and just fired back at the windows where Paddock was, he/she might have been able to save dozens or scores of live by giving the targets a chance to escape.
Hollywood elites don’t care for the common/working class people except for their money.
Time to boycott Hollywood trash - both anti-American movies and leftist actors/actresses.
It’s a shame since I loved Emma Stone in “Zombieland”.

Celebrities love to make money off of violence and guns and then preach disarming the citizenry, if they were true to their supposed convictions they would never take a part in anything that had guns in it. But of course the greedy bastards and bitches take all the violent roles they can to make obscene amounts of money and then preach to us from their pulpit of celebrity, as that makes them intelligent or relevant.
