What’s the difference? Whether he asks or orders, if he fires him for not doing it?

There’s NO WAY the GOP Senate blocks another nominee. It’s politically suicidal for them.

One could argue that spending the first 9 mos of Trump’s presidency accomplishing absolutely NOTHING is political suicide for the GOP. Yet here they are, doing exactly that.

If blocking a nominee helps the Deep State and Establishment maintain their choke-hold on the U.S. government, they may very well decide to risk political suicide in order to maintain that status quo. It may be a choice between which type of suicide is more certain in their eyes.
