The security guard who approached Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock's hotel suite before the massacre said he heard "drilling sounds" before he was shot through the door.
In an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" set to air Wednesday, Jesus Campos recounts for the first time on TV the night of the shooting.
Campos was wounded by Paddock on October 1, minutes before the gunman sprayed gunfire on concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest Festival from a hotel room in the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort Casino.

He was never missing. That was absolutely fake news. The police knew where he was at all times.
Ellen has slots in the very casino. So more than likely it’s a business arrangement with them. They give her the questions and him the answers to lessen their LIEability
Ellen has some kind of business relationship with MGM.
for example in there casinos you will sometimes see slot machines dedicated to a type of Ellen theme.
I suspect there were behind-the-scenes negotiations in which she pledged not to ask him about his immigration status and many other things.
that is just a guess on my part however.
My guess is that she will turn it into a very woman friendly human interest story rather than any kind of substantive reporting of details.
More likely, Ellen’s producers are telling him what to say. Stick to the narrative about guns.
