The Jacksonville Jaguars have apologized to local military leaders for demonstrating during the national anthem in London last month.
Jaguars President Mark Lamping sent a letter to the director of military affairs and veterans in Jacksonville saying the team was remiss in not fully comprehending the effect of the national anthem demonstration on foreign soil has had on the men and women who have or continue to serve our country.

Apology not accepted. Go suck eggs.
Keep backpedaling, bozos. It isn’t going to help at this point.

“What happened?” Hillary said it was acceptable!!!!
Too late. You fell on your sword.
Too little, too late.
And fake, to boot. They pulled this stunt well into all the furor.
I’m sure the local Jax vets knew about this and told the team to F off. The animals kneeling down werent apologetic.
A non-apology apology, “We were remiss”. Would make both Clinton’s proud.
This is good news, a sign of weakness.
“We’re sorry you’re upset” is not an apology for the action that caused the upset, it’s cutesy Clintonian parsing and wordsmithing.
Fire all the guilty players. Period.
Lots of old military vets live in Florida.
The black bottom line must start be turning red.
It’s nice that the management of one team apologized as the NFL is leaving. Thanks for that, at least and goodbye, NFL.
This local ex-Jags season ticket holder knew from the new media before the local news reported it on radio. I am with the camp with the guy who commissioned the air banner to fly over the stadium.
I did something similar back during the lead up to the Clinton Impeachment. I found 30 people to pitch in $10 each and flew one over the stadium.
IT’S NOT THE SEX, IT’S THE LAW - IMPEACH CLINTON.
Screw them. They were slaves under God Save the Queen (King) a lot longer than they were under the Star Spangled Banner.
They suck at football too.
(Yes, I live in Jacksonville.)

Take your “apology” and pound it. Hard.
Not so much a sign of weakness from the protesting players (of which this apology DID NOT come from) as it is a growing divide between ownership and the players. Anything that continues the slow death spiral of the NFL is fine by me.
I was already angry, but when I read the story of standing for God Save The Queen and kneeling for our own anthem in a foreign country, that took it to a whole new level. The notion that the perpetrators didn’t realize the implications is quite simply a lie. They knew exactly what they were doing.
