Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., criticized "half-baked, spurious nationalism" as he accepted the National Constitution Center Liberty Medal in Philadelphia on Monday night for his lifetime of sacrifice and service to the nation.

Former Vice President Joe Biden honored McCain by speaking at the event and shared that not only were the two of them close, but their families were close as well.
"I can think of no better description for the man we're honoring tonight," Biden said, praising McCain's "courage and loyalty."

The speech was much better in the original Vietnamese.
Such a shame these medals given have now become no more than prizes found in a Cracker Jack box. They once had National, Patriotic meaning. Alas, like everything else touched by the liberal left- they have been tarnished and tainted. Nothing but a tin can lid being worn with little pride. The Nobel Prize committee began this turn of events. The ride downhill is now on a fast track.

He was a carpetbagger to Arizona where he used another woman to advance himself.
With Kerry he killed the POW accountability issue and made sure those men would never see the light of day. Men in cages died because of him. The Vietnamese and Laotians knew that after the agreement they had better not ever produce a live POW...guaranteed.
He sold out and took bribes in the Keating 5. He turned rat and testifies against them.
He has been an abusive a-hole all across DC. He stabbed America in the back with “nothing to fear from Obama”.
He helped create ISIS and has been photographed with Al-Baghdadi. He helped create the new cold war with the Nazi party of Ukraine.
He has worked as hard as he could for Hillary, and to hurt Trump. To do this more, he personally killed killing Obamacare, costing regular Americans huge sums of money.
And this POS has the balls to lecture us on patriotism?
He’s a traitor and has been all his life to everyone who ever counted on him.

While I have no doubt my judgement day will be painful, I never in my life sold out my nation like John has. I’ve never betraying my fellow citizens as John has. I’ve never swung deals with terrorist enemies of the United States, like John has.

I will not ask that God have mercy on him. He has shown none for his fellow citizens in the United States, some of which died in the service to our nation. He treated their families the same way.
