A former Jacksonville Jaguars fan wants everyone to know how he feels about the NFLs recent anthem protests.
Terry Smiley hired a plane to fly a banner reading "Be American. Boycott the Jags and the NFL," over Everbank Field. The banner was in the air for nearly two hours during Sundays game.
Smiley says he's fed up with the players, and the league.
Do you believe in your country? he asked. Do you believe in the Star Spangled Banner? If you don't stand up for it now, you won't have it in the future."
A recent FOX News poll found 55 percent of voters see kneeling during the national anthem as an inappropriate form of protest.
Team owners are meeting this week in New York. They plan to discuss whether to change the league's policy to require players to stand during the national anthem -- a rule change that would not require player approval.
A decision is expected before the meeting wraps up on Wednesday.
Now they are throwing it all away.
Where do I donate?
Why not find like minded individuals and do the same locally?
Maybe hire a banner over the Rams or Oakland.
DITTO!!
To FreeRepublic!
I’m with you Terry stand up for your country or you are no better than the protestors.
+1
Already do that every month.

Awesome
Exactly what I was thinking. Wish FR could help organize something like this in every stadium.
The cost is $350.00 per flight hour, with a $100.00 set up charge for the banner message. Unless you order a custom banner (see below), your message is created from five-foot high red letters and numbers....says a search of the internet.
WHAT IT COSTS
There are two seperate costs associated with Airplane Banner Advertising:
The first is a one time production & assembly cost of the aerial banner. This cost is dependent on the type of banner youd like us to fly.
LETTER BANNERS up to 45 characters (not including spaces!) are FREE OF CHARGE for assembly.
DOUBLE LETTER BANNERS up to 65 characters (not including spaces!) have a one time assembly fee of $75.00
AERIAL BILLBOARDS have a one time printing & production fee of $1.75 per square foot. Standard sizes include 20×60, 25×75 and 30×90′. Larger Aerial Billboards are available on request, please Contact Us to discuss your options.
DOUBLE SIDED BILLBOARDS require the production of two equal size Aerial Billboards to be displayed from both sides of the aircraft. Double Sided Billboards have a one time printing & production fee of $1.75 per square foot. Standard sizes are 15×40 up to 20×60′ per side.
LOGO BANNERS have a one time printing & production fee of $1.75 per square foot. Standard sizes include 7×7, 10×10 and 15×15. There is No Charge for the trailing Letter Banner which can consist of up to 35 characters (spaces not included). Larger Logo Banners are available on request, please Contact Us to discuss your options.
The second cost for Aerial Advertising is Flight Time. Flight time cost is based on per hour rates ranging from $300 to $500 dollars per hour. Banner Towing flight time is charged from when the banner is picked up at the airport, flown to its location or route for display and flown back to the airport. Banner Towing Rates are dependent on several factors including, the distance from airport, on or off season, day of the week, time of day, type of aerial banner and how much flight time is purchased. Please fill out our Contact Us form or visit our Build Your Banner page for a detailed quote.
I’m thinking a better message would be STAND UP FOR AMERICA. BOYCOTT THE NFL.
Thanks! That one Reilly to my post really had me thinking. Definitely affordable.
Reilly should be reply. Stupid phone.
Good stuff
Better yet - get banners to mock lack of attendance.
