Hillary Clinton on Sunday defended NFL players who knelt during the national anthem, saying kneeling is a “reverent” position that is not against “our anthem or our flag.”
The former Democratic presidential candidate, who was at the Southbank Centre's London Literature Festival, urged Democrats to use the issue against President Trump.
Clinton was embarking on a foreign trip to promote her book “What Happened.”
She said people should resist “what are very clear dog-whistles” to the Trump base, pointing to the example of kneeling NFL players.

I’m wondering if Hillary has started coming to the realization that she’s never going to be President, and is finally getting to the point of taking off her mask and being the true radical she is in public.

Says almost everything you need to know about what has motivated Hillary her entire life. Hillary has been motivated about Hillary. It's always been about her. She's truly a pathological narcissist.
Five will get you ten that her relationship with her father had a lot to do with this. From what I've read he was extremely demanding (and emotionally abusive - sometimes physically). I would bet she never got from him the approval that she needed and wanted as a child, thus prompting her to work harder to gain it. It all became about achievement, and ‘proving’ something. The love-hate thing with her father probably factored into her early foray into Republican politics (her father was a Republican and ardent conservative), and then as her resentment against her father replaced her desire to get his approval she became politically the opposite of him.
She is the center of her own universe, and failing to become President probably has brought back all of that ‘I'll show you’ resentment that has fueled her for so many years. I would bet that there is seething anger beneath the surface. She's needed help, but her ego and narcissistic need precluded her personal growth.
Wrong Hillary: it may not be against YOUR flag, the flag of globalism. But it’s against OUR flag, the flag of the USA!
Hillary polled to gauge public perception and spoke for kneeling during the anthem. Kneelers are her base and she can not lose her base. Fortunately here base does not get excited enough to got to the polls for her or her like. They would rather stay home on their knees.....
Hah! It’s an amateurish and ill-conceived symbolic gesture. It’s ridiculous and they’re fools for thinking that their message is somehow politically astute.
No wonder she lost, only 1 % are kneelers.
Democrats and other liberals/anarchists are fighting hard to continue Obama’s fundamental transformation of America and it’s institutions. It’s now destruction and rewriting of our history of the last 150 or so years, our Flag and National Anthem, and even destruction of the institution of the basic foundation and premise of the Boy Scouts of America.
No telling what’s next.
Whenever you want the truth, just listen to Hillary and believe the opposite.

Who knows what is going on behind the scenes? Hillary has been very anti-Trump in her book promotion tour. Her virulent attacks could signal that she is aware of an ongoing investigation into her and the Clinton Foundation by DOJ. Hillary may be laying the groundwork to accuse Trump of a political witch hunt when the investigation becomes known. She is doing her very best to provoke Trump and IMO it has less to do with getting publicity to promote her book and more to make her look like a victim and martyr when the investigation becomes public.
