ROCKPORT, Maine — Ending months of speculation, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, announced Friday she will forgo a run for governor to stay in the Senate, where she has become a crucial swing vote in Republicans’ narrow two-seat majority.

“I want to continue to play a key role in advancing policies,” Collins said at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast at a golf resort here. “I have concluded that the best way that I can contribute to these priorities is to remain a member of the United States Senate."

Oh Darn. I was looking for her to leave the Senate
and run for governor. I really wanted to work for and vote for her strongest opponent in the primary.

She will probably switch parties after getting reelected for six years. Nothing we will be able to do at that point.

Do you mean to tell me the people of Maine are seriously considering electing this jackass to the governorship?

Well their loss is America's gain. ANYTHING to get this fool out of the US Congress!

Susan Collins should retire from public life.

********************

Born in 1964 she’s only 64 years old. She took office January 3, 1997, so with reasonable
health she’s got a few more years to go if she can be re-elected.

I think your math is off a bit. By the way, for the sake of the Republic all RINOs should go.

Yep you are correct. I used the wrong date for her birth
which was in December 7, 1952. My bad.

Play a role in advancing ‘destructive’ policies. That is all she knows. She is very anti-American.

Well, I generally like getting bad news first, but this is like hearing you have cancer, and the good news is you have a whole two months left to live.

Pretty much. Why become governor if you can stay in the US Senate and stick it to conservatives throughout the country instead of just sticking it to Maine?
