Mandalay Bay hotel officials said Thursday the Las Vegas gunman wounded a security guard in a hotel hallway within 40 seconds of firing into the crowd at a music festival, disputing a police timeline that put six minutes from the time the guard was shot and when Stephen Paddock committed the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

belt fed bumpfire? I don’t buy it.
The cyclic varitions indicate bumpfire to me
And bumpfire cam be achieved without the verboten stock. Any fool with a modicum of coordination can do it.
The number purchased "legally" IS the message.
The number actually used IS the message.
I do not believe for a second that he expected to use everything he had. The self kill IS the message.
The explosives in his van IS the message.
And the message is the motive.
If 2 guns can kill 58 people, how many can 2000 kill. Think F&F.
Sessions and the FBI are on the case!!!!!!!!!!
Another thing I don’t buy is bumpfire with a bipod.
The way bumpfire works is you anchor a finger and push the rifle forward until the trigger meets the finger... Pow! the recoil throws the rifle back disengaging the finger from the trigger.. you keep the forward pressure to repeat the process.
Bottom line is the is already a law prohibiting murder an Nevada has the death penalty.
Therefore the answer is to pass laws against 100s of millions of law abiding citizens.
The hotel will say and do everything it can to keep from getting wiped out financially.
Afraid of law suits.
So, it was the security guard who started the massacre. If he hadn’t shown up when he did, the shooter would have been concentrating on installing his cameras. The last song would have finished and people would have been leaving. That brings into question just what was his original target?
Surely, maintenance and housekeeping have master keys. The maintenance man left the floor to give his master key to his supervisor so the supervisor could give it to the cops. Why wouldn't the maintenance supervisor have a master key? No one's story makes any sense.
The Fuel tanks at McCarren airport??
Naww.. Why not just use a 50 BMG Barrett and incinderary rounds?
What we have here is a nut and nuts responding to how we as a society can stop nuts.
The R’s finally got smart today and punted this to OBAMAS ATF rather that make a dumb play.
I remember the maintenance man being mentioned the night it happened
Writing a bumpfire law will force rewriting 83 years of law.
Stephen Paddock committed the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
Total BS, and it is cited way too many times. Lets give our native american Indian brothers that distinction called the Wounded Knee Massacre. They were the ones massacred but to keep things in perspective, they had done a bit of that themselves. To keep things in further perspective, they were being pushed to the limit by the advance of the white man, and the loss of the buffalo. As time passed they began to be somewhat less tribal and began to benefit from the association with the white man despite the treaty issues by both sides.

In those 83 years of restricted machinegun access they have been used in 2 crimes.
Just this summer some jihadi ahole killed 89? in Nice France and injured 450+ with a TRUCK
Campos is to be on Hannity tonight, I think.
If so, MGM knew that he would dispute the timeline so they correct it hours before.
The whole thing is orchestrated and mysterious.
If this story holds (big if), the security guard may have prevented 12 deaths and 100 injuries.
1000 bullets out the window caused about 60 deaths and 500 injuries. Poddack may have had his guns and ammo lined up and ready to go. Instead, he could have used 200 bullets into the hallway rather than into the crowd. Of course, he may have had less powerful weaponry for shooting inside the hotel. The casualties may also have been reduced at the end of shooting spree than the beginning, could reduce the reduced deaths and injuries.
But with this story line, there's at least a possibly rounds that could have been shot out the window were instead "wasted" inside. This would make Campos an accidental hero and lifesaver. In addition we could all be thankful that more people weren't killed or injured.
Personally, I'm skeptical about 200 rounds being shot inside the hotel.
Both Campos and Shuck were sent to investigate an open emergency door because it would take two people to shut it and they were sent independently?
They send the building engineer up to the 32nd floor to investigate an open emergency door, as if he had nothing better to do and they don’t use lower ranked personnel for that?
Agreed - The shooter fires 200 rounds at guard no way he going to wait 6 minutes before he start shooting at crowd. The hotel is likely covering it’s ass but they are probably right that the shooting started soon after he shot the guard. Why would he wait .... so he could be stopped doesn’t make sense
Saw it somewhere on the Internet, not sure this is true, that Paddock had been checked into multiple hotels in Las Vegas simultaneously. This is a method used by Las Vegas con men to try to avoid people who are following them and people they owe money.
