It is not rare for Sarah Sanders to let other administration officials take the White House press podium.
However, the room went silent when White House Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly took the podium Thursday for the first time in his new position. Kelly explained his lack of press availability, beginning his remarks by saying, “I've decided not to do too much with the press until I get my feet on the ground.”
It took Kelly, a Marine combat veteran of 45 years, approximately one minute to lay into the White House press and the leaks coming out of the White House. Kelly specifically addressed leaks from an “off the record” meeting he had with reporters earlier this year. Kelly said:

Okay, I think we all know by now that a blow up this picture showing the time on the General’s wrist watch indicate this photo was taken sometime before Trump actually spoke.
Please cite a source that thhe picture was from some other time. I had not heard this before and the picture actually appeared when he gave the speech. So if it is a phony pic I would be interested in the proof. Thanks!

Without proof, why would you assume the pics were taken while Trump was speaking? Because some Trump-detractor said so?

How do we know that image of General Kelly is from when Trump was actually speaking, and not just the media taking a picture at some other time and claiming it was while Trump was speaking?
You will be hard pressed to find anyone who actually know General Kelly who believes that picture shows what you claim it does.
I have worked with John Kelly. He’s an outstanding man - President Trump picked a great, solid guy.
I also am getting tired of the cr@p from the press. The vicious attacks, etc.
President Trump has gotten more done in 9 months perhaps as not only Obama-mess (in his eight years of cr@p) plus 16 years before that. George W Bush was not a bad president. But he was no Ronald Reagan.
I did as well. It’s reassuring to see that outstanding merit has been recognized and rewarded.
Maybe the shark jumpers here will sit up and take notice.
