I just watched a BBC history of the British Empire on youtube recently and I do believe that there is a significant segment of the British society today that believes that they owe it to their former colonial subjects to hand their country over to them.
A white, Christian, heterosexual male is a minority.

India owes their very improved position in the world (compared to 50 years ago) to the legacy of British rule. Pakistan chose to scrap that legacy and embrace Sharia Law. Guess which one has a growing middle class and which is a basket case now?
- and that certain segment of society doesn’t have children who would join the police force. Bankers, lawyers etc. but not police. As such it does not affect them directly and they don’t mind excluding whites.
