Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) told Breitbart News that Republicans will only succeed in the midterm elections if they get behind the Trump agenda.
The congressman said that the Freedom Caucus remains committed to passing a dynamic tax reform package for middle-class families as well as repealing and replacing Obamacare. Meadows also cheered the Environmental Protection Agencys proposed repeal of Obamas Clean Power Plan.
EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced on Tuesday that he will propose to repeal the Obama administrations Clean Power Plan (CPP). An EPA analysis revealed that repealing the Clean Power Plan will save roughly $33 billion in compliance costs in 2030.
House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) cheered the EPAs repeal of the Clean Power Plan. Meadows said, Well its a good day for businesses across the country and not just in coal country when we really look at the compliance costs and economics of compliance a lot of times the cost benefits that was done under the previous administration would take credit for things that the rules and regulations accounted for and yet really didnt take consideration for the cost and emphasize of that particular administrative action. I look at this repeal as a welcome day not just for coal country but all businesses in making sure that we have proper accounting for the cost-benefit analysis.

We need new Republicans.
The ones we have are more concerned about citizens of other countries who broke into our country and are robbing us blind.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst, Young, Boozman and Shelby are all undocumented Democrats in R jerseys.
We need new Republicans.
************
We need a new party. The GOP is never going to change or represent conservatives. It is what it is.
The GOP is a lost cause.
We showed you how it’s done when we Cantorized the weasel Eric Cantor in June of 2014.
Primary out the Uniparty traitors.
Alabama is following our lead, Arizona appears to be as well, Flake seems to be on his way out.
Corker read the tea leaves and is leaving on his own.
We can take over the party.
We can take over the party.
*************
I respectfully disagree. Yes, we can primary a person here and there but its illusory progress. After Cantor was gone, what has changed within the party? If anything, its gotten even worse.
The reality is that the party bows to big money. That’s what drives it. Further, there’s a deeply ingrained culture of appeasement and a disturbing lack of conviction in the party. They talk conservative just before elections but revert to Swamp sustainment mode immediately upon arriving back in Washington.
The GOP is arguably at its lowest point in history. Their polling numbers are incredibly low. And rightly so. The GOP controlled congress has done nothing for nine months, except find new ways to obstruct the agenda that we voted for. Well, that and going on frequent congressional “breaks” during times of national crisis.
My view is that the party is compromised beyond repair. We keep hoping, and they keep stabbing us in the back.
Both the GOP & Democrat parties are dying from self-inflicted wounds. The Mid-Tern election of 2018 will totally change the entire face of the Republican Party, changing it to the Donald J. Trump political party...and, the Democrat will die on election day sustaining devastating losses, across the board.
Fact is, neither major political party has a clue as to the thoughts and trends of the overwhelming number of American citizens and voters. But...POTUS, Trump has the real beating pulse and mantra of Mr. & Mrs. America!!!
I completely agree with your assessment.
The GOP as currently represented by so many weasels is corrupt. I had expected other districts to follow our lead and dump their weasels.
It was disappointing that none occurred before Moore took down Strange.
The ball is rolling now, Flake is shaky at best. Wicker is in trouble in MS.
Taking over the GOP is easier than starting an new party.
It’s going to be a long term process, Trump cannot drain the swamp.
WE have to do that.
WE are the only ones who can stop electing weasels who backstab us and cater to illegal aliens.
The Mid-Tern election of 2018 will totally change the entire face of the Republican Party, changing it to the Donald J. Trump political party

It might change the face, but I’m doubtful it will change the soul of the party. They are political chameleons who change colors to fit in with whatever background is most politically advantageous. To be sure, they do not like Trump the Outsider coming in and draining their Swamp. That won’t change.
Taking over the GOP is easier than starting an new party.

Agree on both accounts. I’ve worked in Washington and don’t have much optimism left anymore regarding GOP “reform” efforts. Seen too much I guess.
Don't amend Obamacare. Get rid of it.
Agreed.
The head of the Freedom Caucus should replace Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House.
Another person to be Steven Scalise -- one reason is his time healing from the gunshot wounds.
Such a period of reflection is good for the sou.
Grassley is 84, and though he still has a near eidetic memory, no way would he take the Majority Leader job except with the understanding that it would be temporary.
Strongly pro-life, but I am biased to that.
King isn’t that far away from 70. He could have had the Senate seat now occupied by Joni Ernst. If he didn’t want that seat, he won’t go after Grassley’s in 2022.
