Tom Brokaw is an effing idiot.
When you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns.
I'm pro-abortion. Planned Parenthood sale of baby parts proves abortion needs limits. Like no taxpayer money for it.
Roger that. My kin were troopers with the Green Mountain boys from the Athens/Hudson are of NY. I’m sure they’re spinning in their graves about now.
The truth is that you don’t need a military-style semi-automatic rifle with a 30-round magazine to shoot deer or do other hunting.
But the 2nd Amendment wasn’t proposed and ratified because the Founding Fathers were worried that the deer were coming.
It is this simple, Tommy:
1) the 2nd Amendment simply PROTECTS our right to keep and bear arms, it does NOT grant it. It is a pre-existing right, and all that the 2nd Amendment does it to prevent the government from taking our guns AS A MATTER OF LAW.
and
2) The 2nd Amendment is NOT about hunting. It is also not about any sport or any kind. It is also not about personal/family protection against street criminals. No, Tommy, the 2nd Amendment is about the balance of power between the State (i.e. the federal government) on the one hand, and the people (i.e. individual human beings, not some amorphous construct of “the people” that no single human being can represent - or sue the government on behalf of). It is about preserving our liberties, by FORCE.
Like those facts or not, Tommy, those ARE the facts.
So, GFY.
Gun rights already have limits, and they didn’t work in Las Vegas.
Perhaps we should look at left wing corruption and how it’s led to a society where a nutcase made a fortune playing slot machines and then went on to use that fortune to become a mass murderer.
What does this guy 'hunt'? Bambi?
He's a liberal pretending to be 'one of us'... he should peddle this crap with MSNBC --- where the gullible hang out.
There would be no need for them, as far as a situation like what happened in Vegas, if major hotels had you check-in your luggage, to be delivered to you room for you, and sent it through scanners before it got to your room. Yes, they are a private business and you have no right or guarantee of your luggage not being scanned on someone else’s property. What you bring to someone else’s property is their business. Legally they could even require you “check in” any “licensed gun” at the from desk, where you could pick it up on your way out.
Just sayin - security measures are a lot more effective than mass gun limits.
You will be allowed to deer hunt on one weekend per year after the SS has reviewed your voting history and mental health. Don’t worry, be happy, I’m a hunter too.
I trust reasonable, honest human beings to make gun laws....unfortunately, those type of people only exist in movies.
My God, we are going to have to have a civil war to settle this. They’re going to start one.
Licensed gun? Don’t have a clue what that is.
Same here. He must live in a slave state.
What the heck is a “military grade” weapon?
Hotair is the source. ‘nuff said.
Tommy Brokaw? LMAO.
No.
He chose not to.
Brokaw and all the other Leftists know this, too. Their "thoughtful recommendations" are nothing more than an attempt to get the frog into the pot. Highlighting each atrocity while ignoring the protective uses of firearms, eventually the water will reach boiling, and they will get what they really want: the effective or actual repeal of a God-given right to self defense.
***That is why I am for conditional access to military grade firearms.***
Same old bull from 1964. Thomas J Dodd and Emanuel Cellar wanted to register all firearms and ban the import of 5 shot Army surplus bolt action rifles “to prevent crime”.
Actually their ban was to protect American rifle makers Winchester, Savage, Remington from low cost rifles that only poor people could afford.
In those days you could get an army surplus rifle for $5.00 and the hardware owner would sell you five rounds to go hunting. Winchester, at that time cost $55.00, when money was still backed with silver.
Now all gun makers are “evil”.
They did use their AK47s at closer range, of course. But the crux of the matter is that they had AK47s in spite of the “gun ban”.
