Morgan and Morgan or is the brady bunch their own law firm? You know they gotta get their cut of any bounty. How many expected this? Raise your hands. Literally ambulance chasers. Guess the bump stocks "caused" this POS to finally go over the edge?

So, if a crazy person runs down pedestrians with a Ford Mustang, should they be able to successfully sue Ford?

Typical scurvy lawyers. I think they’ll have a hell of a hard time proving any deaths are directly attributable to the bump stocks.

Reminds me of the old west story of shipping rifles west without stocks to thwart any Indians getting them.
Indians captured a case, and promptly carved their own stocks for them.

Last time I checked, carving tools ain’t out of style. It just requires labor to make your own.

Or then you can use a shoestring or rubber band...

Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence Ownership

Fixed name of organization to more accurately describe their mission.

I thought there was a law that Obama tried to get passed to be able to go after gun manufacturers and it got killed by Congress. As long as the company is operating within it’s legal limits I don’t think this type of suit is allowed to go forward. I hope the NRA takes this case on, this small company is going to need some heavy hitters or it’s going out of business whether it’s legal to sue them or not. They’ll get tied up in court fees...

So, why didn’t the automakers get sued or the Congress demanding bans on those vehicles that used to mow down pedestrians?

Law Firm strategy:

-- Morgan and Morgan = $Millions in billable hours

-- Bump stock victims = Whatever is left divided by the number of identified victims

This is more “strict liability” BS.

There won’t be any bounty unless the company decides it is cheaper to settle than to contest and win.If contested it will not be simple because the first level will be presided over by a carefully chosen judge who will make sure the deck is loaded for the complainant. The appeals court is harder to pick and is much more likely to rule on the merits of the case. it’s like suing Ford because an F150 was used to by a SJS to crash into a group of people.

Did the bump stock malfunction?

Where’d they get their info?

Might as well sue Obama for Obamacare for raising prices astronomically and lowering the quality of healthcare for all which is far more provable.

This should have as much traction as the original version, when lawyers went after gun makers.

The Brady Center and families of victims of the 2012 Aurora shooting sued Lucky Gunner, the online store where some of the ammunition was purchased. Federal judge Richard Paul Matsch dismissed the charges.[19][20] He ordered the plaintiffs to pay Lucky Gunner’s legal fees under a separate Colorado law, HB 000-208.[21]

Have the details of the weapons used been released yet? Were the bump-stocks actually used, sear/trigger mechanisms altered, or were some just auto-fire weapons..

After I moved from Seattle to KY, I noticed the shocking proliferation of ambulance chaser billboards. Morgan and morgan is one of them.

The absolute worst is “the hammer”. He sometimes doubles up billboards at the same place. They are everywhere. From northern Indiana to the heart o small town Kentucky.

I found out from someone that “the Hammer” really just sucontracts out your case to other attorney firms and taks a “piece of the action” if you prevail.

IOW, they are really just a referral service. A thousand people call, they can only handle 100 of the cases, and farm out the other 900 to other law firms for a percentage of the winnings.

Great work if you can get it.

I’ve also heard it said that you can identify the finanial strength of an area’s economy by the number of ambulance chaser billboards. The more of these billboards there are, the more financially depressed the area is.

It is a lawsuit. Time for serious discovery. ATF we want all emails, meeting minutes, etc. for all communications on both bump stocks and fully automatic weapons during the Obama administration, with a special focus on those between political appointees and the white house (remember fast and furious).

We also want all correspondence, emails, etc between the Brady organization and high ranking members of the democratic party or their consultants within the past 18 months.

Then pass the popcorn.

But wait. The bump-stock, slide-stock was approved as a legal accessory by the Obama ATF.

Therefore, it is holy and sacred and cannot be the basis for a lawsuit.

...and what about lawsuits for the makers of other items the killer used?

Hundayai
Daniels Defense
Colt
Sig
Harris Bipods
Magpul
Surefire
IRR
ATK Orbital
Federal Ammo
Remington Ammo
Surefire mags
Trigicon
...

I mean if he had alchol in him before the shooting, might as well sue BUD and TAP
What about the hotel? MGM

What about the window manufacturer 3M?
Telephones used T or GE

Where does this end?
