Despite Mandalay Bay shooter Stephen Paddock’s history of high-stakes gambling, he had no known gambling debts, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Tuesday.
And, contrary to published reports, Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, told investigators in Los Angeles she had no concerns about his mental health.
In an extensive interview Tuesday with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Lombardo clarified those details and provided new information about the Oct. 1 shooting that killed 58 concertgoers and left nearly 500 injured.
The sheriff said investigators have made contact with Paddock’s entire “family tree,” including the shooter’s two ex-wives. Their conversations have shed new light on the shooter’s upbringing but have yet to answer the most daunting question: Why?
“We may never know,” Lombardo said. “All those things that you would expect to find, we have not found.”

Based on what Sheriff said about autopsy, can we conclude Paddock did not shoot himself in head as many of us first thought from seeing photo?
So, did Campos call the front desk or hotel security?
I don’t think this whole incident passes the smell test.
The autopsy reveales no brain anomalies as well. Why don’t they just tell the public the truth? That he was another Repub hater? The public already knows the left is filled with these kinds of people.

If Lombardo says we may never know then forget it
and the security guard lying on the ground with a hold in his thigh also might be a clue.
Why would they waste time evacuating rooms when he was shooting up all those ppl? Why would he need so many guns? Why why why.
What one gun shoots >200 rounds?
Did he leisurely reload multiple magazines?
200 rounds and only a “flesh wound”?
Something I don’t get. If the security guard was shot in the leg and fully able to call for help and let them know they had an active shooter on that floor; why did it take 72 minutes for them to get to the door of the shooters room?
I realize they don’t know what they are dealing with and had to take precautions but they had to hear the gun shots being fire out the window.
Remember Columbine HS? it took the police hours to go in.

What do you mean, the autopsy? That’s what I read, they said they found nothing wrong with his brain, no tumors or anything so I guess they are just going to push this as “we don’t know why he did it” unless someone outside of the swamp gets hold of some info and shows it to the public.
It seems like everyone is now in this for their own agenda.
The various police agencies are all in cya mode. The way they dribble out partial stories that contradict each other they give the appearance that each agency is searching for a storyline that does not embarrass it.
This dribbling out of contradictory information then leads to the rest of us jumping to conspiracy theories. What is needed is a true investigative journalist. But the media no longer has people with that skill.
Processing a brain from an autopsy takes, at a minimum, 2-4 weeks.
It has to be fixed in formalin (for several reasons) before it can be sectioned. Once it is sectioned, the slides will take another 3-7 days.
Now, in a GSW to the head with a high-powered rifle, the normal protocol may not be possible - but, then, neither is a conclusion of “no abnormalities” possible.
