Witnesses: Woman shot by Miami Beach police after she slammed her car into a cop

In the heart of South Beach’s entertainment district, a woman was shot dead by a police officer after causing at least one crash and then knocking a cop to the ground with her car Sunday evening.

Police Chief Daniel Oates said the incident started at about 6:15 p.m., when a woman driving a black BMW westbound on 12th Street hit a Mercedes with two men inside at Collins Avenue after running a red light. An officer who was nearby on foot because he was part of additional patrols for the weekend tried to get her to stop, but she accelerated and hit him, throwing him off his feet, Oates said.

Another officer then opened fire. The driver lost control and then struck a parked white SUV on the east corner of 12th Street and Washington Avenue.

This is of interest to the DC area because she is from Bowie, MD. A local source said she was a student at Temple University and wanted to become a SJW lawyer. She also had a yet-to-be-prosecuted assault charge and several traffic violations. It's not clear what she was doing in Miami or why she did those things. It looks to be one of those "aspiring Supreme Court justice" gone bad.

There’s a video of this, and you might be right. She speeds towards one cop and hits him. You can see his legs over the top of the car. She then speeds by the second cop, who shoots her just as she passes by him.

I can hear BLM screaming that he shot her in the back.

re: SJW - I don’t know who’s organizing it (BLM?) but on a case I’m interested in out of Rosemont, IL, one of the ‘activists’, an 18yo, lamented on utube that he was supposed to go to “Houston for six months” and then Miami. I’m guessing it’s to demonstrate/rabblerouse/rattle noisemakers for the folk who are “unfairly targeted” by hurricanes, or some such made-up nonsense. But anyway, it appears some of them are on some sort of protest ‘circuit’ that’s scheduled months out.
