In a significant timeline change, Sheriff Lombardo reveals Mandalay Bay security guard, Jesus Campos, was shot BEFORE the Las Vegas attack started.
Las Vegas sheriff says Mandalay Bay security guard was shot 6 minutes before first shots were fired at crowd., reports ABC News.
[SNIP]
Paddock shot the unarmed Campos in the leg as he was moving toward the room outside in the hallway, The Daily Beast reported being told by Dave Hickey, president of the International Union, Security, Police and Fire Professionals of America.
Campos had taken an elevator to the 32nd floor of the hotel because the stairway door had been blocked, The Daily Beast said, and when Campos got to the door where he suspected Paddock was barricaded, he was met with gunfire through the door.
The wounded Campos then radioed casino dispatch informing them of his and Paddocks location in the hotel. Police said the suspect fired some 200 rounds at them as they approached the room, The Daily Beast noted.

I have not followed nearly all the articles on this (I will try to get caught up), but I was following it “live” during the hours after the shootings — in one of the earliest articles there was reference to a bellman observing lots of glass crashing down outside the hotel. They might not have known instantly which floor it came from, but they may have known within seconds that a window had been smashed.
It would have been hundreds of pounds of glass. Somewhere I saw that those huge windows weigh 600 lbs each but I don’t know. That would have been a tremendous smash on the ground if any hotel staff were indeed nearby to observe it.
This documentary on OAN by Trevor Loudon mentions how SEIU is involved in some very bad stuff. We always knew they were, but what’s covered here is insomnia inducing. Quite disturbing. Antifa is the main topic, but SEIU is mentioned. The video is over a half-hour long, but worth watching.

Still waiting. (Queue “Jeopardy” theme.)
Yeah, there’s something going on with the timeline that they’re trying to cover up. The security guard story wasn’t jiving. Now, he’s not the hero the msm claimed he was. No wonder he has been lying low and not giving interviews.
Heard a smidgen on whatever was blocking the stairwell door but didn’t hear what is was. Anyone know?
aackk I can’t take news anymore...I think I will go watch some old Ren and Stimpy or something...anything...Oh and thanks for the info and linky.
The stairwell door opens into the stairwell. Fire codes. The only way it can be blocked is on the stair side, not the hallway side.
The cops said (story subject to change!) they couldn’t get up the stairwell because it was blocked. So, like they couldn’t unblock it from their side. So, they want us to believe they walked back up/down the stairs to another floor and then arrived on the elevator. That’s a lot of wasted time if shots were being fired.... Which now we are told shots were being fired at them through the door. Yeah, WHATEVER! They’re going to confuse the story so much, we’ll never know the truth and that’s exactly what they’re wanting. Thank you, swamp creature, Mueller.
What was being drilled? Who reported it? What happened to that alarm for a door ajar story?
That's another part of the every changing story. The feds really need to have better communication between agents so they're all up on the latest version.
We just don’t know what “down the hall” means. It can’t have been a guest’s door because those are left open all the time if they’re expecting visitors or they’ve just run down for ice or whatever. The only other door would be the stairwell door. That door isn’t “down the hall” but right there at the shooter’s two rooms.
I’ve been trying to think of a way someone could block or lock a stairwell door without being too obvious about it, but haven’t come up with anything. Maybe squirt some quick cure epoxy into the lock?
If he screwed the stairwell door so it wouldn’t open, then he’d have been on the stairwell side. That means he couldn’t shoot the security guard from inside the room. If he was drilling and screwing from the hallway side (makes no sense, but I’ll play along) then the guard could have seen him, confronted him and was shot. But why just in the leg and not a kill shot so he couldn’t notify the cops?
That would also mean the shooter blocked his escape.
What stopped the shooting? If the cops are now admitting the shooting went on for several minutes after they arrived, then were any holes in the door going into the room from their guns? Or were they hiding in the safety of the elevator all that time?
This is getting weirder and weirder.
I am really confused. If the security guard was shot before the shooter started shooting the crowd- how did the guard know he was barricaded? What brought Paddock or that room to his attention if it happened before the shooting?
There was an original story that there was more than one shooter and at least some were security or dressed like security. I did not see that story again after the first day so I thought that turned out not to be true. I don't know what to think now.
Ok, just saw the LEO (green shirt) say he was drilling into the suit wall to maybe place a camera.
Which suit wall? Sure, don’t all shooters leave this until the last minute? Maybe his schedule was thrown off? Whatever, it’s weird.
At this point it doesn’t matter what theory anyone has- CIA, gun runner, ISIS, he just snapped on his own...the pieces don’t go together for any scenario I can think of.
I used to work a lot of jigsaw puzzles, once I started working on a puzzle that really frustrated me right off the bat, couldn’t get anywhere on the border. Then I realized someone had mixed up pieces from two different puzzles. This shooting reminds me of that.
the stairs are in like an ice-machine alcove. It’s possible the guard could have been shot at from around that corner and all he would know is someone at the end of the hall is shooting at him. Or there were two or more persons.
Last version I heard, the cops were on the 31st floor when they heard the shooting. Then went to the 32nd where they found the security kid.
I read that the door ajar alarm was for a door that had been ajar for ‘some time.’ whatever that means. Now, thinking like a persnikity accountant about to set up cameras and drill things so loud it could be heard from the elevator, and break windows out, and, break all amateur rapidfire sharpshooter world records and such, why wouldn’t I check out the hallway and see who’s home, and maybe close that door myself when I went and got the cart in the hall for my cameras? I’d stayed at that hotel before, I’d already know they’d send someone about the door. Loose end.
Another loose end is, why wait until the final act of the final day? why not blow things up at the beginning of the weekend and really stick it to Las Vegas if that was the motivation?
My guess.
1. Guard responds to whatever shooting occurs from buyers to Paddock (Paddock dead).
2. Guard retreats, buyers fire into crowd to cause confusion and shut down the strip.
3. Cops bumble around until SWAT shows up, they go in and are fooled by fake suicide.
