I was 300 yards from where the Nun’s Canyon fire started. Simply, a huge gust of wind and a few minutes later, smelled smoke and we were off to the races. A deputy just gave me a store bought sandwich; first real food since Sunday.

Deputy brought you a sandwich—first real food since Sunday?!?! Wow, I just don’t know what to say.
Wish there was more national press coverage on this...seems to have been far less on these record fires than some of the other disasters even tho the fires got worse!
I hope you have a place to return to, and can do so soon!!!
