Trump's Proposals for 'Dreamers' Deal Include Border Wall, Crackdown on Unaccompanied Minors

U.S. President Donald Trump, who pledged to help protect young people known as "Dreamers" brought illegally to the United States as children, called on Sunday for money to fund a border wall to be part of any immigration deal.
In a list of "principles" laid out in documents released by the White House, the Trump administration also pressed for a crackdown on unaccompanied minors who enter the United States, many of them from Central America.
The plan, which was delivered to leaders in Congress on Sunday night, drew a swift rebuke from Democrats, who are seeking a legislative fix for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that Trump ended last month.
"The administration can't be serious about compromise or helping the Dreamers if they begin with a list that is anathema to the Dreamers, to the immigrant community and to the vast majority of Americans," said House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer.
"The list includes the wall, which was explicitly ruled out of the negotiations. If the president was serious about protecting the Dreamers, his staff has not made a good faith effort to do so," they said in a statement.
The Trump administration wants the wish list to guide immigration reform in Congress and accompany a bill to replace DACA, the Obama-era program that protected nearly 800,000 "Dreamers" from deportation and allowed them to secure work permits.
If enacted, the White House priorities could result in the deportation of Dreamers' parents.

HTH is a wall an anathema to people who are already here?
To: momincombatboots
Trump won’t make a deal as bad as the one Reagan accepted in ‘86. I’m quite confident of that.

End the illegal DACA program started illegally by the illegal President to benefit illegal aliens illegally.
Restore the rule of law.
Remove ALL illegal aliens.

Parnter, you brought up a sore point for us here in Texas.
We personally know a lot folks who are Second and Third generation of Mexican descent.
These folks are more against Amnesty since they consider themselves American than Mexican and they have gone thru the proper channels to become citizens of our country. The allegiance to Mexico is gone and vice versa, the Mexicans in Mexico do like these folks at all. Also, they have seen what Illegal Immigration does to their family as far as jobs and wages are concerned. They can not find skilled jobs and if they have a good skilled job they are stifled with lower wages. A very major point BTW, that the pro-illegal immigration folks just gloss over when they speak on Illegal Immigration.
Most of these folks like to speak the English language first and Spanish second. They would rather have their children enrolled in schools where English is the primary language. I.E., they do not want their children enrolled in English as a second language program (called ESL program).
The first generation Mexican Illegals who have become American citizens are brought up with allegiance to Mexico instead of the United States. They are mostly pro-illegal immigration. There are exceptions and it is with the first generation folks who come from Europe or other countries where they have a strong allegiance to our Constitution and values. We have way too many Mexican Illegals who work here in the U.S. and many do not want to become citizens. Maybe a temporary visa program might work with these folks as long as they go back to their original country of Mexico.
We agree with President Trump's ideas where we should let folks in by their skill levels on jobs instead of letting in folks who have no skills whatsoever. They become too dependent on our generous benefits.
We keep asking the same question to the pro Illegal Immigration folks----"What do you not understand about the term "Illegal."

I have to appeal to any and all Freeper’s out there because, -I have a Question that to my knowledge.....?? , Was this just swept under the rug per se? ;
Question: Can someone that is not a naturalized U.S. Citizen, be granted a Security Clearance? Did Obama meet the requirements for his Security Clearance?
It seemed like this (topic) was back and forth for years, however, - - was this ever resolved with background checks etc.,
Thanks in Advance for your answers.

“The administration can't be serious about compromise or helping the Dreamers if they begin with a list that is anathema to the Dreamers, to the immigrant community What breathtaking arrogance by Pelosi and Schumer.
A wall around our own country and a crackdown on future unaccompanied minors is “anathema” to “Dreamers”?
Who the f**ck do these creeps think they are. When do a bunch of foreigners who are in our country illegally, get to dictate to us on whether we build a wall around our own country or not?
To: Mercat
We should not replace it.
Fraudulently documented foreigners should not have new laws written for their benefit.

Nothing will ever be revealed.
Obama was given a new Social Security number and everything else was scrubbed when he usurped the office of President.
The 042-68-4425 number he used (among others) was not his.
Everyone accepted his fraudulent internet image as sufficient proof.
Mostly because they are all complicit in the violation of the Constitution.
Obama was self admittedly born a British subject, not a natural born citizen.

Members of congress and the president do not undergo security clearance check
Except perhaps for some SAPs
Which Hillary Clinton freely compromised

The list includes the wall, which was explicitly ruled out of the negotiationsHow does someone on the losing side decide what was "explicitly ruled out" of any negotiations. Dems are accustomed to getting 99% of what they want in negotiations with Repubs. It worked under GWB, but hopefully won't work now.
