This is what you should expect from just every single island in the Caribbean. It’s a third-world zone and they can’t run things like this. I’ve known Puerto Ricans while in the military, and they all vouch that once you leave the island and experience the real world, you don’t come back.

The US should write up an exit plan....give them two billion in cash, and declare it a non-US territory. If you don’t....the next hurricane that comes through....you might as well appoint some general in charge for six months and by-pass the politicians.

I was fortunate enough to take a few visits to the Caribbean in the 1960s. At that time, most of the islands were still under Colonial government. They ran very well and were very safe. I’ll draw my own conclusions.
