Determined to finally solve illegal immigration, the White House submitted a 70-point enforcement plan to Congress Sunday proposing the stiffest reforms ever offered by an administration including a massive rewrite of the law in order to eliminate loopholes illegal immigrants have exploited to gain a foothold in the U.S.
The plans, seen by The Washington Times, include President Trumps calls for a border wall, more deportation agents, a crackdown on sanctuary cities and stricter limits to chain migration all issues the White House says need to be part of any bill Congress passes to legalize illegal immigrant Dreamers currently protected by the Obama-era deportation amnesty known as DACA...
The goal, the White House said, is to ensure major changes to border security, interior enforcement and the legal immigration system.
Anything that is done addressing the status of DACA recipients needs to include these three reforms...

25 year moratorium on legal immigration. No refugees. No birthright citizenship. No green cards. All illegals in the US deported. English official language.
We should treat illegals as Mexico treats illegals.
After all - that would not be racist. Right?
Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years imprisonment. Document fraud is subject to fine and imprisonment; so is alien marriage fraud. Evading deportation is a serious crime; illegal re-entry after deportation is punishable by ten years imprisonment. Foreigners may be kicked out of the country without due process and the endless bites at the litigation apple that illegal aliens are afforded in our country (see, for example, President Obamas illegal-alien aunt a fugitive from deportation for eight years who is awaiting a second decision on her previously rejected asylum claim).

It will never pass the U.S. Senate.
And if it does, it will never be enforced.
This is political camouflage for Trump's DACA Amnesty.

Your statement proves that it is impossible to please some of the people any of the time.
Absolutely positively correct.
Re: Your statement proves that it is impossible to please some of the people any of the time.
Your statement is deliberately false.
I would have been completely satisfied if Trump had revoked the Executive Orders that established DACA.
In June 2015, when Trump announced he would seek the GOP nomination, he promised to revoke DACA on his first day in office.
Yup. This is pure “Bubba Bait” as the DACA Amnesty treason knife is readied to stab us in the back.
Actually
Amnesty !
The word Trump does not spoken about his plan
It’s Amnesty and the rest window treatments ,
Here comes the squealing from the left who to disenfranchise Americans to get voters.
MAGA!
If you look at the last 12 years, the US Senate has passed 2 immigration reform bills with the 60 plus votes needed for cloture. First under George Bush in 2006 and then under Obama in 2013.
In both cases it didn't pass the House which was controlled by the GOP even though, in both cases, there were enough votes on the floor of the House to pass the legislation.
Because of the Hastert rule, the Senate bill(2006&2013) was never allowed onto the floor of the House for a vote.
And if you look at a longer period, you see that presidents don't have a lot of authority over immigration. Reagan, Bush, and Obama had very little influence. And Trump won't either.
The senate has the prerogative over immigration and the House has the prerogative over law enforcement.
I fear Ryan .
He is a Amnesty cheerleader .
Cheap labor expres traitor .
He will pull out many tricks .
They have current law which would shut down these sanctuary cities and illegal hires. Shamelessly Stolen from Freeper eyeamok.
Federal Immigration and Nationality ActThe senate has the prerogative over immigration and the House has the prerogative over law enforcement.
Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii)Any person who . . . encourages or induces an alien to . . . reside . . . knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such . . . residence is . . . in violation of law, shall be punished as provided . . . for each alien in respect to whom such a violation occurs . . . fined under title 18 . . . imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.
This includes Government entities as well
The President and the Justice department has all the power to enforce the law. If the House had any power Trey Gowdy would of already had people in jail. Or we like to pretend he would.
Which means, hiring lots more ICE agents and Trump will need Congress to appropriate the money to hire the additional ICE agents.
That's how this sanctuary city problem started. Bush and his GOP controlled congress doubled the number of Border Patrol officers but never hired any new Ice Agents.
He can arrest them for breaking the law which you conveniently seem to forget. Maybe he could take a few plays out of Obama's rule book seemed to work for him.
Re: “...the US Senate has passed 2 immigration reform bills with the 60 plus votes needed for cloture...In both cases it didn't pass the House which was controlled by the GOP...”
Ben, both of those Senate bills were Amnesty bills! That is the only reason they did not pass in the GOP controlled House.
Re: “And if you look at a longer period, you see that presidents don't have a lot of authority over immigration. Reagan, Bush, and Obama had very little influence.”
That's not serious.
Obama established DACA by Executive Order. And, Obama was the Chief Executive Officer of every agency that enforced immigration law. Between 2008-2016, Obama essentially stopped enforcing most immigration laws. That's why we have Sanctuary Cities, and one Sanctuary State.
Reagan and Bush One initiated and vigorously supported the 1986 legislation that gave Amnesty to 3 million illegal immigrants, in exchange for work place enforcement against illegal workers.
Bush Two initiated and vigorously supported at least one Amnesty bill that passed the Senate, and at least one other Amnesty bill that got a full Senate hearing. Bush Two was stopped only because his own party revolted against him.
Reagan, Bush One and Two, Clinton, and Obama rarely enforced the laws against employers who used illegal workers, except for a few highly publicized cases that always happened around election time.
It’s no use trying to educate Ben. He’s been showing he’s so far to the left of Nancy Pelosi that he’s almost turned himself around.
