Trump slams Corker, who calls White House 'adult day care center'

President Trump on Sunday ripped increasingly vocal critic Sen. Bob Corker, saying the Tennessee Republican gutlessly dropped his re-election bid after begging for the Trump endorsement he never received.

“Corker ‘begged’ me to endorse him,” Trump said in a string of tweets. "I said ‘NO’ and he dropped out (said he could not win without my endorsement). He also wanted to be secretary of state, I said ‘NO THANKS.’ ... Hence, I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn't have the guts to run!”

Corker fired back minutes later, by tweeting: “It's a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

Trump’s attack follows Corker saying last week, amid reports that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will resign, that Tillerson, Defense Secretary James Mattis, and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly “are those people that help separate our country from chaos.”

You expect your enemies to attack you, but not your “friends”.

I did too, but the only reason was that I do not vote for rat candidates, and I won’t skip voting either

If you voted for Corker you just about voted for a Democrat because corportists like him have shown they that prefer progressive Democrats to the GOP base voters who elected Trump.

I rarely post like that. I apologize to those I have offended.

The political class is so much in denial. I want them to see their dreams crumble.

First up was incumbent Senator Bob Corker (R-TN), who made a surprise announcement on September 26 he would not run for re-election, one day after a Breitbart News report about his sweetheart deal in an Alabama retail center development in which Alabama taxpayers are set to pay him more than $3 million over 20 years in sales tax incentive rebates. Though his announcement that he would not seek re-election was couched in terms that claimed it had been made “[a]fter much thought, consideration and family discussion over the past year,” its suddenness–and the fact that Corker felt compelled to offer a lame and incomplete explanation for his investment in a deal that epitomizes the swamp in which the political elite thrive–underscores the potency of the Breitbart News report.

Yes, because we have plenty here that are dumb enough to vote for him.
