LONDON The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that a number of people have been injured after a car reportedly drove into pedestrians outside of London's Natural History Museum.
Police confirmed that a man has been detained after the incident on Saturday and witness accounts show that the road in west London has been closed off.
In a statement, the Met said: "Police were called at 14.21 on Saturday, 7 October to reports of a collision in Exhibition Road, South Kensington. It is believed that a number of pedestrians have been injured. Officers are on scene, and the London Ambulance Service have been called." This is developing.

We MUST HAVE CAR CONTROL...
It’s the ‘car’ that did the killing - not the person driving...
You laugh, but with ‘self-driving’ cars how long will it be before the argument is made that computerized cars are ‘safer’ and that it's too dangerous to let people drive anymore.

Just saw the picture on “EDL - English Defence League” on Facebook. Take a look. That’s the “man.”
I’m sure the English government will do all it can to suppress the facts about this, and to punish anyone who calls attention to it.
Anyone with a car can mow a crowd down.
We need automobile control.
Toyota Prius. Green cars kill.
.
Thank you very much.
Clearly! And it would reduce carbon emissons. Win-win! LOL! ;)
We are waiting on the shipment of teddy bears and balloons. ;)
“a number of people”
I did not realize that the London Police COULD NOT COUNT.
America has saved their butts over and over again. I can't stand Europeans. I once spent a semester in France and all I heard was whining and complaining about the "warmonger" President Reagan.
He was the first person I voted for. I had just turned 18 about a month before the election in '80 and I asked my Dad who I should vote for. "Ronald Reagan" was his immediate reply.
Oh my gosh, this reminds me of a scene from "It's a Wonderful Life"...there is a poster... "Ask Dad...He Knows." LOL!
Gosh, I miss him. He passed away about a year ago but there is not a day that goes by that I wish I couldn't pick up the phone and call him.
Sorry, got off on a tangent there. :)
Understood.
Thanks. :) All the best to you and yours, Julie :)
Quite so. Cars have been running off the road and hitting people on the sidewalk for over 100 years. It's not exactly an uncommon event. Just because it's recently become fashionable as an easy-peasy means of mass murder doesn't mean those common events don't still happen. Such a rush to judgement here that it seems people somehow want this to have been terrorism, which seems a trifle weird.
Now on Sunday morning still no indication this could have been terrorism.
