Vatican Says Deterioration of Coral Reefs Turning Oceans into an ‘Underwater Cemetery’
Breitbart ^ | 10/6/17

The Vatican has once more waded into the uncharted waters of environmental protection, urging nations to practice “multilateral governance” in order to combat the evils of rising sea levels and the loss of coral reefs.

Writing on behalf of Pope Francis, Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin addressed the Fourth International Conference on Our Ocean, an Ocean for Life, encouraging participants to abandon “cynical or indifferent ways of acting” and to become fully engaged in care for the oceans “as part of an integrated vision of human development.”

Dear Vatican, stick to your Rosary, Saint making, and confession taking.

Climate change discussion is not in your job description.

He doesn't kneel before the Eucharist, and he doesn't write anything about our souls.

Huh.

I don’t believe Pope Francis believes in God, never mind Catholicism.

The ImPopester should stick to saving souls and not worry about the oceans, they are far older than man.

How about we then turn every Vatican property into some conservation easement and have the priests camp there with the animals, foraging for roots, mushrooms and ants as a diet.

Fck these pompous hypocrite blood and sex thirsty b@stards.

You gotta give it to the left - they’ve done a magnificent job of marching through the institutions. Looks like they’re now even in control of the Catholic Church. What’s left?

If they want to become shamanists, Christ would have an answer for them in the manner of His answer to the rich man pretending to do a lot of good: give up all your properties then for the animals first! Put on sacks and live with the trees like a bunch of shamanic sloths.

To encourage us to be good stewards of Earth’s resources is good Biblical stewardship. To pray for our leaders to lead the way and do God’s will is proper. But to encourage “multilateral governance” is pure politics that has no place in the pulpit. Render unto Caesar...

A majority of climate scientists agree that all bad things (e. g.coral reef deterioration, increases or decrease in the earths average temperature, ultra powerful hurricanes, the election of Donald Trump) are due to the increase in Carbon Dioxide molecules in the atmosphere.

This 33% increase over the last decade or two from 3 particles out of every 10,000 to 4 particles out of 10,000 should be a warning to us all about the tremendous power of a single molecule of Carbon Dioxide. One wonders why we don’t have an active CO2 weapons development program.

God made man stewards of the earth which I believe. Is that really what is causing the deterioration of the coral reefs? Maybe he should address Fukushima which is definitely causing irreparable harm to the ocean and to creatures. Maybe he should speak to the huge "islands" of plastic.

We should do our part insofar as is reasonable but eventually God is going to burn the earth with fire. All the works in it will be burnt up says the bible. It's probably could partly could be because of nuclear waste which burns on for so long it can affect future generations plus so much human waste that isn't biodegradable.
