California became a “sanctuary state” on Thursday as Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation protecting illegal immigrants in defiance of the Trump administration.
The bill, approved by the state’s legislature last month, bars police from asking people about their immigration status or participating in federal immigration enforcement activities in most cases starting Jan. 1.
California is home to an estimated 2.3 million illegal immigrants.
In a written statement, Brown stressed that the law would not prohibit federal immigration officials from doing their jobs and would allow sheriffs to grant federal agents access to jails. But he said it prevents the “commandeering of local officials” to do immigration work.
“These are uncertain times for undocumented Californians and their families, and this bill strikes a balance that will protect public safety, while bringing a measure of comfort to those families who are now living in fear everyday,” Brown said.

So now is the perfect time for the federal immigration authorities to focus on Kalifornia and do a bunch of sweeps and send a bunch of illegals packing.
Time for Trump's ICE troops to "defy" Brown and his commie, sanctuary Kalifornia state.

My prediction is that the honest cops will quit and move. A new police force will emerge that will be nothing more than government sanctioned gangs.

Exactly. I have lived in Mexifornia most of my life and can clearly remember when (in the 70s/80s) when the state was the model American state in all metrics. It was run by conservatives and was beautiful. Then the RAT VOTERS started voting for RAT legislature stooges. That was the end of it all. Now look at it. The RAT pols kept the pressure on to load the state with illegals, welfare cases, bums, misfits, and mindless kids who sadly are allowed to vote.
Where is the DOJ and the SCOTUS?? It is there turn to stop the treason against federal law. And many RATS in Sacramento need to go to jail for deliberately undermining federal laws.

Yes, and I’m sick too to have watched the “Post Arnold” degradation since I’ve lived here for all of my 77 years. But you need to remember, twenty years ago, California was regarded as First in the Nation in just about any category you’d care to name. Now, thanks to the RATs and the Mexican RATs, we’re at or near the bottom, and we’re broke, just like Puerto Rico. So my only admonition to those of you who are, at least for the present, living in some semblance of freedom, just remember how few years it took for California to sink. Unless you actually take a look around where you are, and understand the political landscape, you will be joining CA sooner than you realize. And that goes double for Texas and the other “border states.” The Mexican RATs are taking over more and more of your states starting at the border, and unless you do something to stop it, they will take over your state. The balance of power only needs to shift a few percentage points and you’re done! Then, you can listen to those in states yet to go under pi$$ing in your Cornflakes about how they wish you’d “leave the Union,” or fall off in to whatever ocean you’re closest to.
For California, “a day that will live in infamy!”
