One of the reasons I don’t support the NRA.
They pull stunts like this every so often, and it’s self-defeatist.
Politically pragmatic. It won't have the slightest effect on anything, but it allows congress to pretend they are doing something. The NRA is throwing them a bone in the hopes they can cash in this favor at some time in the future.
Right now every screeching Liberal in Media (which means everybody in media) is demanding congress take some action. Doing this will have no real effect, other than allowing congress to claim it "did something."
They pull stunts like this all the time, not just once in a while. NRA is the Republican control organization. Let’s not forget that they authored government background checks.
