“One question I’ve not seen answered.... how many live rounds did this POS have left? IOW’s...was he really stopped, or did just run out of ammo?”

The LV police said that he had plenty of ammo left.

Thanks for the mention.

Do those stock buffer springs suppress the bump stock efficiency?

My right shoulder may be a bit sore the next day but I don't really notice. My brother is older than me and he doesn't fire quite as many rounds as I.

I have always had a high tolerance for pain but for some reason most shoulder fired weapons haven't bothered me except for two. One was when I was out west and hunted elk with a 465 H&H Magnum. That thing really packed a punch. The second was the first time I hunted deer and had to use a shotgun. I had my old Mossberg 500 with a rifled barrel using 2 3/4" Winchester Partition Gold Sabot Slugs. I used nine rounds to sight in the scope and just pulling the trigger made me almost flinch after only two rounds and the next day my shoulder told me all about it.

I have never held any interest in those bump-fire stocks so have never used one but they were designed for those weapons so they work just fine.

Don't know I would credit him with stopping it but I admire the hell out of him

Ummm, the guard showed up at the door, the killer shot at him and then immediately killed himself, knowing that SWAT was not going to be far behind. Had the guard not gone to that door, the shooting would have continued. He was the ONLY intervening cause to make the shooter stop and kill himself. HE stopped the killings. There is no other way to see it. The killer had many more rounds and many more guns, and clearly planned to kill himself once he was found. The guard found him. Period.

“”but he knew that every second and minute was critical in locating the source of the shooting and he went looking for the gunman/gunmen. WHAT A HERO!!!!””

That’s for sure and that must have been without much if any information on the catastrophe that was taking place down below. There wouldn’t have been much time in the timeline for him to have been given much information about that...We need to know more about him - where he was to begin with, how he ended up on the correct floor, age, former or retired LE, medical condition. They can knock off the speculation about the whole scene and give us some helpful information.

It’s possible I misspoke but other stories had “an unarmed security guard” who got shot in the leg with the bullet coming through the door”.

Possible, but still quite an assumption that "he clearly intended to kill himself"...... If he was ready to off himself, why even bother shooting through the door? How many easy targets were left in the kill box?

Anything is possible and saying he stopped the killing makes nice Press. I still respect the hell out of the guy - took guts to approach the door knowing that an enormous amount of fire power seemed to be in it.
