Since he got 33 of his weapons just since last fall it seems unlikely that he spent decades preparing for this.
This isn’t what was posted here earlier. This makes it sound like the police think he might have had accomplices just to plan the attack, not necessarily to carry it out. That seems highly speculative — as if they think he wasn’t capable of planning this all by himself?
Maybe he had “help” selecting the target.
This article is almost comical to read. This guy lived all over the place, yet spent more than 20 years planning a mass shooting at a hotel in Las Vegas that was built 18 years ago?
The Sheriff said it was too complex. The weapons founds in multiple homes.

One theory: The other attackers (Antifa, ISIS wannabes?) got cold feet and didn’t do their part - get the tannerite in the correct position.

At the press conference tonight they said something happened (he wouldn’t specify) that ‘set him off’ where he began buying weapons.

We don’t know. But supposedly we will know strong clues in the next couple of days they are going to tell us the likely motivation. Saw that on Fox tonight.

He admitted it was speculation and his opinion. It does seem that’s where this is leading though.
It’s definitely not in the realm of a conspiracy theory, but from what I’ve seen in the last couple of days I’d say I’m not too impressed with this Sheriff Lombardo guy.
Attack was likely planned to be when crowd was at full capacity earlier in the night or even day before.
Involved the vehicle being parked somewhere and explosion set off by gunfire. Perhaps the truck was to be parked next to the fuel tanks or a likely exit point for the crowd.
That and a couple other gunners and you’d have 300-400 dead+.
He thought he’d escape as well. No idea how he believed that could happen if he’s firing from his room with firearms that can be traced back to him. What was his escape plan? The Sheriff wouldn’t say.
You want speculation? Local Houston station had “psycho profiler” on who said “It’s likely he studied the UT tower shooting”. No info. Just “likely”.

I don’t pay any attention to TV and radio reports on this story because the ignorance demonstrated by a lot of these people is painful to hear.
If I had millions of dollars and spent decades hoarding guns, I think I ‘d have more than 40 ordinary guns to show for it.
Even Rambo can only shoot two Guns at one time.

An attack on 10/1, at the The Route ‘91 Harvest’ Fest is quite an oddity given 10/1 is ‘91’ days from the end of the year.
