Las Vegas officials held a press conference Wednesday revealing more information and insight into the deadliest shooting in U.S. history.
They believe the shooter, Stephen Paddock intended to escape the hotel room he was shooting from following the massacre and are actively looking for accomplices.
A Texas firearms dealer who had sold handguns to Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock in 2010 and 2011 remembers him coming into the shop last year with girlfriend Marilou Danley.
Paul Peddle, who owns B & S Guns in Garland, Texas, said Wednesday that Paddock didn't buy anything on the most recent visit but asked about a way to modify a gun to make it easier to pull the trigger.
He said Paddock had never purchased any long guns that could have been used in the attack on a crowd of concertgoers on Sunday.
Peddle said Danley didn't show any interest in guns.
He says at the city's Metropolitan Police headquarters that, "Our souls are stricken with grief for every American who lost" someone in Sunday night's shooting. He added, "We will struggle through it together."

300 yards is nothing. It was a ‘spray and pray’ attack and he had bullets capable of that distance.
Tougher shots were the fuel tank and how’d he know what was in the tanks, the width of the tank sides, and how that’d work?
Tannerite not being used means either he half-a**ed it or his accomplices didn’t follow through.
Maybe the $100K was to tide her over until he could meet back up with her...and to keep her from needing another sugar daddy to depend on.

At any rate, HAD the tanks exploded, McCarren would be shut down for a while and casualties would have increased dramatically.
How did he not know that as a pilot? Or some basic research?
Seems an odd break in competency for such a planned out attack.

The first half dozen police reports all said “multiple shooters.”

I’d heard ammonium nitrate as well at one of his houses.
The attack was pretty incomplete based on whatever it was planned to be.

He was a pilot, so he should have known Jet-A is hard to set off, in part by design.

Maybe the accomplices were the “Hispanic couple” that tried to warn the concert goers.
Where are they? Witnesses saw them and then saw them escorted away, by concert security.
I heard the woman (and I don’t remember where) was Muslim and was in custody now.
If they escorted her away, they likely would have gotten her ID even if she wasn’t charged with anything.
Was she arguing with people or was she overwhelmed by guilt and legitimately trying to get people away?

It seems the police, or someone, released some portions of body cam footage yesterday or today.
There’s an oddity with it- one part of the footage the date stamp is 10/2 and not 10/1, which was the date of the attack.
The oddity is that it was timed at 05: as in 05:00 AM .
10/2 at 5:00 and change is hours after the actual attack, but that is the date on the body cam.

Google Earth shows a dirt area that is open to vehicles right next to the tanks. A fence would have kept him at least 10 feet away from the tanks. I don’t need an answer - and maybe best not to reveal too much for the next nutcase. But I imagine that if you got enough explosives (like Tannerite) into your car - at some distance you would be able to impact a tank like that and cause a leak.
The tanks are 600 feet from the venue - I’m not sure how deadly that would be. Although with the rupture facing the crowd - perhaps.
Looking at GoogleEarth I can think of other places where I would park the car and know that it would do more damage.
Oh - the idea of the shooter pushing the people over towards the tanks. I had read where the first shots were at the stage, and then the next set of rounds was at the far exit to drive people back into the venue. Along with reports of the gal saying “You’re all going to die - we are everywhere” would reinforce that idea to those that heard her.
I knew nothing about tannerite until today. A FR member posted about it on that thread (the 50 pounds being found) and indicated it could be set off by a bullet striking it.
Likely the vehicle (his) was to be parked somewhere and be part of the chaos.
