Isn’t taking a knee sometimes showing respect, like knights back in the day?

If you read the article, the veterans say they were doing it in support of Kaepernick and others protesting police brutality.

Isnt taking a knee sometimes showing respect, like knights back in the day? I suppose that could be true for some...but not for "Veterans For Peace".

Not all vets are created equal. Most are patriots, but some are first class lowlifes and soreheads.
These appear to be siding with the NFL.

Sadly, being a vet doesn’t exclude the possibility of also being a total asshat.

The military is a cross section of America just like most other organizations - and although we tend to be heavy on the side a patriotism, there are those who join to avoid jail time... or because it's a job.
Obama had plenty of military sycophants when he would visit the field, so it's not surprising to hear there are veterans who will use their Vet status to lend weight to their social justice activism.
But - as you say: GET A LIFE!
