Law enforcement officials are investigating whether Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock had been planning an earlier attack in the city, a law enforcement source confirmed to CBS News.
According to a law enforcement source, investigators are looking at whether he may have first had his sights on the "Life is Beautiful" festival on Sept. 22 to Sept. 24.
The source, who was briefed on the police investigation, said Paddock had apparently tried to get a room at The Ogden and another hotel in downtown Las Vegas, but apparently the specific suites he requested were booked. The source speculated that Paddock may have been seeking rooms that were strategically located to the festival to launch an attack.

If this isn’t proof this guy was an ISIS jihadist I don’t know what does..if he had “Just snapped” because of his gambling debts, how come he was staking out areas he could attack..Maybe what ISIS is saying, that Paddock was one of their “Soldiers” isn’t so far off base
That’s not the point. The only thing that stopped him, apparently, from attack Life is Beautiful was that the hotel rooms he wanted were booked. So that kinda takes ideology out of the equation here. It looks like he just wanted to watch the world burn.

Then again, if the globalists are trying to avoid the narrative that the vegas gunman was antifa, then they would promote this Life-Is-Good story to misdirect us.

Exactly. This is pure spin by the left to take away narrative that he targeted conservatives. The guy attended the festival for three days. He may have wanted a similar room to scope it out sooner and was using that festival as a walk thru. Bottomline, he didn’t kill his fellow lefties.
One of the performers who talked to Fox the night of the attack, also a Vegas resident, said the rooms at Mandalay Bay had been sold out for those dates months ago. Clearly planned long in advance.
1. On his last trip to the Phillipines before his arrest, Nichols left a letter to his wife. The letter was later turned over to investigators.
In it, he described a money location and admonished he might not be returning from this particular trip. There was something about Nichols' trips that might have seemed to him very dangerous --like meeting with terrorists.
2. Oh his return flight Phillipines police stopped Nichols from bording his first intended return flight from the USA. He ended up missing it. His suspicious behavior..? He was trying to board with what the police assumed were COMPONENTS FOR A BOMB.
