The Las Vegas shooter apparently turned one of his rifles into a fully automatic weapon with an inexpensive modification that can easily be bought online.
It appears Stephen Paddock -- the man who brutally murdered 59 people and injured over 500 -- attached what's called a slide fire stock or bump stock to one of his 23 guns before spraying hundreds, if not thousands, of bullets into a crowd of concertgoers from his 32nd floor Mandalay Bay hotel room.
The stock allows the shooter to hold the trigger once and fire in rapid fashion at hundreds of rounds per minute, essentially making it a fully automatic rifle or something extremely close to it.

Las Vegas County Sherrif just said we may have future prosecutions of additional suspects.

Not many places to shoot in the desert between Las Vegas and Mesquite NV near the Arizona border where he lived.
No way he did this himself...set up for him, minimal practice, point and shoot.
Problem is, I don’t trust the FBI to properly investigate...Even with Trump’s new FBI boss...
I sure hope Trump put pressure on new guy to not let anyone slip up.

Expertise?? It comes with install instructions, has been featured on the “Gun Talk” radio show several times, etc.. Sounds about as easy a a buttstock replacement.

Pleeeease! The guy used a simple modification easily online and bought several ar 15 type rifles and used them against unarmed civilians.
Any reasonable intelligent individual could do the same thing.

He had many other weapons. I do not buy these are the ones he used.

Meanwhile Savage says to ban these stocks and silencers... he says no reason to have them other than murder... idiot. Al this stuff can easily be made at home, not stopping a determined millionaire criminal.
Saw one “expert” claim that with a “simple modification” of the sear, the rifle can be made to fire full auto.
I’ve seen videos of people bump firing without any modifications at all.

...whatever the government has, we need to have...we must protect ourselves from potential tyranny...not just home invasions and such.
I listened and did a rough transcription of the police scanner that was active during the event.
The police got and gave conflicting reports of:
Multiple shooters on different floors.
Shots coming from the Luxor.
Suspects fleeing from the scene, including an elderly man wearing camo pants carrying a black bag and entering an RV.
It was a chaos but not the grassy knoll.
Remember the officers called out the shots fired immediately and generally knew where the suspect was in one minute, and exactly where in six minutes.
