The Las Vegas hotel room of gunman Stephen Paddock, who killed 59 people and wounded more than 500 at a country music concert, was littered with assault rifles and bullet shells, photos of the room show.
A Boston 25 News reporter tweeted a photo of Paddocks room that shows a hammer along with dozens of casings on the floor and a bullet magazine. Among the casings is an assault rifle fixed with a scope and bipod.
A second photo showed another long assault rifle with a long magazine and handle at the front of the stock.
Police believe Paddock used a hammer to bust a window in his Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino hotel room.

“I can hit 8/10 with my Eotech 9 inch plate at 200 yards ... but I shoot a lot. This guy as I understand was not well practiced”
Yeah, but at 500 yards he wasn’t aiming at any specific person. He was aiming at a mass of people that would have been something like 100 yards x 80 yards. This was childsplay marksmanship.... minute of building.
Didn’t anyone hear him breaking the windows at the start? That would have identified the room.
I don't see any "clips" in the photos.
60-round, I believe. Just saw a YouTube video review of those, praising the reliable function.
Are you kidding me?
Well trained pro shooters would have never just squeezed and let the clip unload.... Squeeze, reaim squeeze... a pro isn’t just spray and praying....
The amount of nonsense being regurgitated on this site the last two days is mind numbing.... its entering DU territory.
I don’t think we’ll ever know the whole story. I no longer trust our government to tell us the truth.

We can do without the smartassery.

“Just Snapped” means you just bought the gun from a pawn shop and then went on your rampage.
Way too much preparation with this guy, it was PLANNED.
The only FACT I know, is that a Country Music Concert was targeted and since the shooting at least twice have the MSM shown their hand by relating Country Music fans with Trump supporters.
What is pissing me off is the delay, the FBI has been in his houses, they have gone thru the room. They should have a pretty clear picture of the guy by now.
They know the motive but will not release it.
Why?
1)If they say he was a convert and ISIS was telling the truth. What harm is it in telling us?
2)If he was a Bernie, Hillary or Antifa supporter. What harm is it in telling us?
For possibility #1, with all the other Islamic attacks the FBI have gone way out of their way to scrub. Its hard for them to do so if the perp is from those countries and is heard by survivors screaming “Aloha Snackbar”.
For possibility #2, I can see the FBI being worried about a retaliation if it was known that he was associated with Antifa or any other anti-Trump movement.
But we need the truth, hiding it only makes it worse.
I only heard two videos and those twonwrapoms can’t be the ones used.
He had a drum or can magazine. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn help fed.
First pic looks like a Colt AR with a standard selector switch. Second pic is a Daniel Defense AR with a standard selector switch.
Where are the pics of the full autos?
"At one point, Paddock fired 280 rounds at the crowd in the course of 31 seconds."
Total BS.
$100 magazines are not that expensive if youre not planning to live much longer
No it doesn’t. Second mag looks like a 60 round magazine. First looks like a 40 round magazine. I wonder how many rounds you can fire (continuous fire) before things get so hot the weapon jams? I also wonder how many full auto weapons the shooter had? Fire until jammed and then move to the next?
How did a “not a gun guy” organize this and why?
And with Republicans controlling Congress and the White House who the he’ll is going to hold them accountable? Something is off with these agencies.
Why use a scope to spray?
By definition since he arrived Thursday and didn’t shoot until Sunday he couldn’t possibly have snapped.
