President Trump: ‘We’ll Be Talking About Gun Laws’

President Trump reacted to the Las Vegas attack by saying, “We’ll be talking about gun laws as time goes by.” According to the Washington Times, Trump praised the police response to the attack, saying on Tuesday the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police did an “incredible job.” He added, “How quickly the police department was able to get in was really very much of a miracle. They’ve done an amazing job.”

But after praising the police, Trump made clear a discussion on gun laws is coming:

“Axios reports that Breitbart News’ executive chairman Steve Bannon observed that Trump’s voting base would react worse to gun control than to an amnesty bill. Bannon said that Trump’s support for gun control would “be the end of everything.””

IMHO, Trump has enforced the immigration laws and will be told what is legal and illegal and will stand by the constitution. He’s a quick learner and I pray to my Father in heaven that Kelly remembers his roots. BTW, read that Ivanka and hubby are doing less in WH.

If, and that's a huge if, the liberals ever managed to pass legislation to ban guns in the US, millions of Americans will not just happily turn in their weapons to the government.

There will be a revolt first. The democRATS would rue the day when they tried to forcibly remove guns from the hands of Americans. This is not Australia. This is not England. Or wherever else they have banned guns.

Americans won't stand for their 2nd Amendment rights to be disposed of by a bunch of commie liberals.

IF semi-automatic weapons (or automatic weapons for that matter) had existed in the mid-eighteenth century, then militias would have been so-equipped.

The purpose of the Second Amendment is centered on two ideas: "free State" and "the people."

A third intent is of critical importance: the right "shall not be infringed."

It is our responsibility to defend the free State and to allow no further infringement of out natural rights.

Doesn’t sound like that at all. Sounds like he plans on discussing gun control at some point. If he wanted to put the Democrats off, then he should have kept his mouth shut. We own the White House, Congress, and the USSC. There was no reason at all for him to say that, unless he meant it.
