So very true Roman.
I am listening to the Gospel of John on my IPhone on the way to work.
Today I listened to Chapter 7, which about Jesus going to the festival, which was Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). I picked the Gospel of John at random to listen to. I found it an interesting coincidence that Tabernacles started yesterday and ends next Wed.
It is interesting to me that His brothers told Jesus to go to the festival, so that He could gain in His fame. Jesus said He would not go, but then later went in secret.
It was during the festival that Christ made one of His most impassioned pleas:
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink! 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them."
May we all hang in there, even during the troubles of this life. And may we be filled with hope, knowing that our Redeemer longs to be with us, and to take us home.
“May we all hang in there, even during the troubles of this life. And may we be filled with hope, knowing that our Redeemer longs to be with us, and to take us home.”
Toughest part is hanging in there. While stuck in traffic visiting clients or going to work I often wonder what these folks have on their minds. Their next smoke? The game? Bills? Their significant other?
Me, I’m still trying to wrap my mind around Christ and how magnificent and wonderful it’s going to be to be with Him! I can’t think of any other place better to be than with Him.
