Jimmy Kimmel is looking for ratings. All those late night shows are lefty oriented so he is looking to steal a few useful idiots away from his competition.
They do understand. They just don’t agree with it and wish it didn’t exist. This does cut to the bottom line, they need to push to change the constitution, not just be selective on their respect for it.
Same with Steve Colbert. They both used to be sort of funny, unobjectionable guys. Given the power of late-night TV, they've become total tools of those who strive to destroy the US as we know it. They've been spewing nothing but hate since President Trump won the election. Perhaps they should look in the mirror to find a cause for the animosity that makes it impossible for people to talk to each other.
