The Las Vegas shooter spent his last minutes desperately firing through the doorway of his hotel room while the SWAT team stormed into the suite.
Stephen Paddock shot one security guard and fired on a SWAT team of six who searched the hotel floor-by-floor Sunday night before zeroing in on their target.
We believe the individual killed himself prior to our entry, Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said.

I call bs, SWAT killed him.
According to some FReepers, this guy was killed by the actual sniper.
Left for authorities find while the actual sniper fled and is still on the loose.
I had heard on the news that knew which room he was in because the smoke detector alarm went off and guest were calling about the sounds of gunfire. I can’t imagine they had to search floor to floor just to find him. Maybe to secure the perimeter, but he couldn’t have been that hard to locate, especially if the windows were gone.
does anyone know what rifles he was using?
Anything is possible. Except the public will never know all the facts.
I agree and I doubt that a security guard accompanied the SWAT team.
Or why he needed > 10?
I’m one of those Freepers. But if bullets were flying through the hotel room door, one would imagine the sniper was behind it. And if he was, then how would he manage to sneak out?
“the public will never know all the facts”
That, is a known.
I thought the room was located by the smoke detector going off, rather than a floor-by-floor search.
I didn’t create the conspiracy theory.
Don’t ask me.
That’s true, one or two is enough (thinking barrel heating).
Democrats are evil enough to pull something like this and leave a dead patsy behind to take the blame.
OK. Maybe through a ceiling vent.
Wore a security guard uniform, and as possibly wounded? Were reports of a fleeing security guard.
Why all the guns and bomb stuff? Did he think he could start shooting and still have time to use all the ammo and explosives?? I think he had help from inside hotel to get that much stuff in.
That contradicts what police reportedly said according to the following.
