The U.S. Army is probing a West Point graduates pro-communist posts on social media. His father has condemned his political views on social media, and this graduates West Point professor has now been placed on administrative leave.
If you havent been following the saga, you may be overwhelmed by trying to figure out what exactly is going on? Here are the facts:
1. His name is Spenser Rapone, and he is a communist.
This week, 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, posted pro-communist images on social media, including a picture of him holding up his military hat with the message Communism will win written inside, and another image revealing a Che Guevara shirt underneath his military uniform.

2. The Army is investigating Rapones tweets.

4. Rapones father, an elected official, disavowed his sons politics and hinted those views have changed drastically.
***
Its my belief when he returned back from Afghanistan there was a notable difference in his political views, Richard Rapone wrote. Spenser is my son and I love him dearly however I do not like nor condone his politics, his actions or behavior.
***
6. Rapones mentor at West Point is now on administrative leave
While attending West Point, Spenser Rapone was mentored by Rasheed Hosein, a professor of Middle East history, who is now on administrative leave for reasons unknown. Hosein holds a Ph.D in Islamic history from the University of Chicago. His biography on the West Point website lists Rapone as one of several cadets advised.

Spencer Rapone has never known what real communism was like -- and he hasn't bothered to read a book and find out.
The country let its guard down, but I'm not sure it's anything more than that.
I doubt West Point really is full of communists.
Just a few ignorant cadets and a professor or two.
When MacArthur gave his farewell address at West Point, he admonished the cadets to always honor that hallowed place, and The (Army) Corps. Things like this communist snake’s making it through the academy makes me wonder if the saying, “The Corps, and the Corps and the Corps” died when General MacArthur died.
Rapone is just a mutation. Any population of of late teens early twenties is going to have a few nutobs. When I was a cadet we had a full blown multiple personality schizophrenic. That was literally insane. Rest assured, virtually everyone else there is there for the right reasons and you would be very proud to know them. I’ve had a chance to meet quite a few of the new plebes in the class of 2021 and they are inspiring young Americans.
Or he’s an enemy, too. That would be MY conclusion.
How many years will this investigation take??
Maybe when they denied Christ a place at the dinner table.
I think he’s trying to get his butt kicked out of the Army and scam a free education.
We have many moles.
An interesting hypothesis. I would imagine the Army has rules in place to recapture the tuition in such a case. And maybe he'll get additional schooling in the brig.
Hes also tweeted that hell happily dance on Arizona Sen. John McCains grave.
Is Grace still said there at meals? If not, I’d be inclined to agree. And I’m an OT devotee.
Glad to hear your testimony. It is possible to become over-focused on the depraved outliers because of news coverage.
which congressman recommended this clown ?

Looks like a complete 180? WTH?

I don't know but they were forbidden to say Jesus at grace so what is the point?
I get the feeling that more than a few FReepers could live with that.
Where’s McCarthy, now that America needs him (or another like him)?
