Tom Petty died Monday morning after life support was terminated, reports TMZ. The singer was found unconscious Sunday night after a massive cardiac arrest. Paramedics were able to restore a pulse, says TMZ, but his family accepted the inevitability of the singers death, and support was terminated this morning.
The Rock and Roller was known for his rhythmic Florida style. He was famous as early at 19. He transplanted himself to Southern California, where he was known for songs that celebrated Southern California living, such as "Free Falling."
I'm fairly sure Keef actually died in 1985 but no one has had the heart to tell him.
According to paramedics, Petty's last words were:
“Stop Draggin My Heart Around.”
Tom Petty was like a latter-day Bob Dylan. A truly exceptional talent, one of the best songwriters in Rock history, up there with Bob Dylan and his ilk, IMHO...

Keith Richards will live forever. DoD should fund a study to determine how Keith has managed to ingest large quantities of toxic substances and live to a ripe old, age. They could probably use his DNA to engineer a new antidote to chemical and biological warfare agents.

Followed Tom Petty since 1977. Enjoyed his music a lot. Liked his “Buried Treasures” segment on his Sirius XM radio channel. Going to miss that. RIP Tom.

Weird thing was around 4:10pm EST, in my car the breaking news came over the radio saying he was hospitalized and that they were taking him off life support. A minute later they announced his death over the airwaves on radio.
