There is too much about this story so far that just doesn’t make sense.
Not buying that he was once a successful gambler. The only long-term successful gamblers are the casinos themselves and maybe a few Monte Carlo shysters.
Given the shooters wealth and his being a small time accountant, I am leaning toward his being in the money laundering business for the drug trade which is ancillary to the casinos.
The guy clearly loved a flutter. Flew airplanes for example. He was an adrenoline addict.
But why did he target country music fans? His brother claims [if we believe him] that Paddock himself liked country music.
Just going over some of the comments...I noticed that he hadn’t held a full time job since he worked for NASA in the 1980’s. Where might he have obtained the funds to buy two aircraft, several real estate properties, a collection of weapons and at the same time, gamble as a high roller at the casinos in Vegas?
And still have a hundred K left over to send to the Philippines?
And what might he have been planning to use the ammonium nitrate for, found on his property?
Fertiliser?
