There Are No Oppressed People in America
townhall.com ^ | 10/1/2017 | John Hawkins

There are American women in my Twitter feed who think they are more oppressed than women in Saudi Arabia. I. Can't. Even." -- John Podhoretz

Never before have so many claimed to be so oppressed and mistreated over so little as Americans in 2017.

We have men who have gotten extraordinarily wealthy and famous playing a game who protest the flag of the nation that put them not just in America’s wealthiest 1%, not just in the global 1%, but in the historical 1% of everyone who has ever lived.

We have pampered college students at expensive private schools having hissy fits because someone they disagree with is allowed to speak at an event on campus they’re not even required to attend.

We’re told Hispanic Americans are oppressed because foreign Latinos who came to this country illegally when they knew the penalty was deportation are not universally being allowed to get away with their crime.

We have feminists who think they’re oppressed because some guy “mansplained” something to them by finally giving his opinion after listening to them blather on for 10 minutes.

WHAT! How can you say that John? Some people do NOT get jobs right out of college that pay $200,000. Tell me that's not oppression. /s

Guess what whiners. LIFE AIN'T FAIR! It will never be fair and all things will NOT be equal. Some assclown always wants to be in charge. Good example is the lib assclowns/fascistas that want to shout conservatives down for daring to have an opposing view point. Do they see it? Of course not. They're to busy fighting nazis. Or something. If they would put more effort into improving their own conditon, things might get better for them. Ungrateful snots wouldn't know oppression if it slapped them in the face.

I have 2 nephews who just graduated high school and think they should get jobs like that right now.

My gut tells me these snowflakes are going to get a hard, sharp education in real oppression and hardship, sooner rather than later.

And they won’t like it. Not even a little bit.

There are no Governmentally Oppressed peoples, except maybe whites subject to consistent Affirmative Action reverse discrimination.

Plenty of people live in oppressive situations, but that’s life.

There is a profound deterioration of basic Virtues in Western Societies

Gratitude is not only the greatest of all virtues,
It is the parent of all the rest.
- Cicero

The loss of basic Gratitude is a great injury to self

Silly. That’s what they get for being bigots or homophobes or racis’ or something. You musta forget the one way street of diversity. How about we find a HAG (Housewives Against Guns) who is a baker and try to get a cake made in the shape of an AR-15 and then sue if they refuse. How far do you think that would get? LOL!

But if they FEEL oppressed, they are. Look at the oppressed Cowboys and owner millionaires kneeling and locking arms before their game last week. They FEEL it, therefore they are.

Do not disagree, or you’ll get beaten with a bike lock.

Were MLK alive today, he’d be thrilled that his “dream” has been fulfilled, and appalled at being called a white supremacist.

Yup, the comeuppance will soon be at hand. Right now, we have a lot of these snowflakes supported by the prior generation(s), especially the protest generation of the 60s, who have accumulated a good deal of wealth. They coddle their off springs, shield them from the cold cruel world and preach to them that if they don't achieve what they want, it is because of some societal slight. They are passing on now, in greater numbers and their accumulated money is being passed down. There is an old saying regarding the hard working self made: shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves in three generation.

We are approaching the beginning of the third generation in that series and it is not going to be pretty. Note the destruction of the middle class here is the harbinger of this coming.

Asians in some ways (college) are hit worse by affirmative action than whites are.

Some of my former co-workers would complain about how much college was costing their kids. Actually costing them. Another buddy and I used to hammer the crap out of them to try to make the kids do it on their own. Nah. Didn’t want them to “suffer” like they did. Sheesh. Other kids, gotta work their way through. The kids felt entitled to an education.
