Finally, how about NOT allowing homes to be built on very volatile sand-based barrier islands? I’m normally against government dictates, but history proves these islands are actually formed by hurricanes and storms, and are also torn apart by the same. We cannot keep the hurricanes away, but if no one is living there WHEN the hurricane hits, no one is harmed and no property is lost.
