Whorealdo will now run for the Senate in Florida.
I can only imagine...start building a new one, you are going to need it...
That is a fact. They are citizens and can legally vote.
That should change.
Take them to Cuba. I hear Cuba has a fantastic medical system !/s
100% of Puerto Ricans I served with spoke english and worked their butts off. Best of all they were fun to be around. Your experience was much different apparently.
The Liberal-entitled stench and needed fumigation will be like the one needed after Zero et al. vacated “our” White House, ya think?
Exactly.
It's my understanding that Puerto Rican voters were the swing vote that defeated GOP Congressman Allen West when he was re-districted in 2012.
Also, many Republicans do not understand that the “Second Wave” of Cubans that began to arrive in the late 1970s are just as Leftist as the Puerto Ricans.
Florida is going to be a battleground state for Republicans in every election for as far as we can see into the future.
The only “good news” is that Hispanics (excluding Republican Cubans) continue to have the lowest voter turn out of any major ethnic group in America.
Only 40%-50% of eligible Hispanic voters turn out, even for presidential elections.
When that number starts going up, as it already has for eligible Black voters, it's going to be “lights out” for Republicans in Florida, and, sooner or later, also in Texas.
Re: “Slightly off topic but I always wondered why all these “tropical paradises” are always so poor...It’s a mystery.”
Because the northern Europeans have more Neanderthal, Black Sea, and Asian Indian DNA?
A veritable worker’s paradise!
I believe you.
Unfortunately, when Puerto Ricans go to the polls, they vote 80% Democrat, in metropolitan New York City, and in Florida.
Complaints about the buffet in 4...3...2....
Since the bankruptcy I believe they do want statehood - but it isn’t being offered. They seem to think we’ll have to pay all their bills in perpetuity if they gain statehood.
Houston = culture of self reliance; people helping people
Puerto Rico = culture of dependency; helpless without government
If they leave, who’s going to clean up and repair everything???
......”If they leave, whos going to clean up and repair everything???”......
This entire situation reminds me what the ‘International’ Disaster crews said about Haiti......that in all other natural disasters the locals were pitching in right away to help...until they went to Haiti during the quake. They were shocked and stunned how the people just stood around often refusing to help when they could have...they expected others to do it ‘all’ for them. any left until the disaster crews had cleaned up for them before returning....many never went back who were shuttled to the US.
It’s very difficult to work your tail off for people unwilling to do what they themselves are capable of doing but ‘expect’ others to do it for them.
Puerto Rico was a economic disaster long before these storms and people were already leaving in drives for that. Last number I read was 800,000 had already left the Island because of how bad things were there before the storms.
Yes, over 800K have fled.
PR, the new Boat People. Over 1/3 of the remaining 3.4 million were on welfare *before* the storm hit....
“Ah yes one of the results of our victory over Spain in 1898.”
Soain sure pulled a fast one on us. Now they get a love boat cruise direct to the democrat voter registration booths in Florida.
Unintended consequences bite.
“Yes, over 800K have fled.”
Adding to the already existing hives of them in the big cities.
“Anyone wonder if RCCL will show pictures of the cruise ship after these people depart?? How long to clean the ship up and put it back together??
My guess is that the ship wont be recognizable afterwards and more like a ghetto!”
Spread the word....the jets are saying the sharks eat shit.
Indeed unfortunate. But it's notable that they are of Christian faith, that should count for something.
Puerto Rico bashing is similar to CA bashing, some deserve it and some don't.
