Simas Kudirka was a Lithuanian sailor who in 1970 jumped from a Soviet ship onto a US Coast Guard cutter seeking asylum in the US, but the cutter’s idiot skipper returned him to the Soviets, who put him in the Gulag. However, it turned out he had US citizenship, so a few years later, he was released and came to the US.
I once heard him give a speech in which he made an offer to anti-American protesters that he would purchase a one-way ticket to the Communist country of their choice if they would agree to “live there, be happy, and don’t come back.” Shannon Sharpe ought to take him up on that offer.

I knew he was a worm years ago when he called for NFL punishments to be meted out by a panel of some sort that had plenty of “African-americans” on it, as if a white man wasn’t capable of dealing with the issue.
