If Puerto Rico and the Puerto Ricans cannot achieve a functional economy without such tax breaks, whats your solution?I do not think they can go anywhere without the tax breaks being reinstated, and yes, it might be for a period 50-100 years.
Much cheaper than paying 3 million people welfare.
I was there in 2001 and it was booming, was there 2 years ago and it was a third world hell hole, completely lawless too.
This is Bill Clintons and the communists mess, Trump needs to educate the American people on this fact and then tie relief funding to reinstating 936.

Do you think she wants the governors job? Yes.
Then statehood.
Then the US presidency, once PR is a state, she's more Constitutionally qualified than obama was.

Politeness to a liberal is like politeness to a scorpion. Scorpions will still do what they do. And so will liberals.

Thats much different than in Texas and Florida when men did their jobs even though their houses were going under water. I think the drivers are staying home because of the much higher risk to them of hijacking and murder than they would face in Texas and Florida.
Puerto Rico will probably need to be put under military governance for a while.

I see from your chart that they rapidly recovered under the administration of St. obama the Divine...

The communits in PR and the US conspired to kick out the US Navy, which was a HUGE mistake. Not for the communists it wasn't.

That’s misleading.
936 ended in 2007 (repeal signed in 1996 with 10 year phaseout) and the corporations left in 2008.
That’s when their economy went to hell.

This plan was in the works before the Hurricane even hit.

Oh, come on...we know that tax rates don’t affect economic activity or where companies locate...
To: Ben Ficklin
Hmmm...I wonder who you are. One of those suspicious 1998 sign-up dates, no info yet claiming to be a Texan. And claiming that Trump is a white nationalist. Highly suspicious!

You flunked the bar and minimal intel requirements in your zeal to hammer President Trump. The mayor is a whining bitch!

Pretty much.
Apparently, the mayor of San Juan never got that memo.

This pretty much says it:
“Puerto Rico is acting like the cousin whose been away for 20 years and shows up expecting an ownership stake in family business....acting like the ungrateful relative who bitches about family members who lend him money, aid.
They just demanded approx $100 Billion ‘in cash’ to bail them out of bankruptcy.
And BTW there are 10K U.S. Troops breaking their backs slinging aid to Puerto Rico.....Ungrateful people.
