Trump slams Puerto Rico: ‘They want everything to be done for them’
The Hill / MSN ^ | September 30, 2017

President Trump on Saturday criticized Puerto Rico's "poor leadership" and defended his administration's response to the aftermath of Hurricane Maria's devastation on the island. Following a plea for aid by San Juan's mayor, Trump said the mayor was being "nasty."

"The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump," Trump tweeted. "Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help."

"They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort," he continued. "10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job."

The mayor of San Juan is a flat out communist. She cheered the terrorist released. the real bad guy in all this is the truckers union president who ordered a work stoppage on the island a close ally of the mayor. The governor of PR has nothing but good to say about the federal response and he was a Hillary Clinton delegate to the DNC.

You are a New Yorker! Furthermore, you are my outer boroughs homeboy!

And you are acting surprised that the Puerto Ricans “want everything done for them”?

I think maybe there is a business tax on Puerto Ricans? Probably amounts to less than President Trump pays. lol

It’s obvious the MSM, libtards, etc., are opportunists and are trying to make Maria the Trump equivalent to Bush’s Katrina. So transparent. They think we’re stupid...

It seems like there are 2 different humanitarian crises in Puerto Rico. There’s the one which has the Democrat (Progressive) governor complementing President Trump and the Federal response, and then there’s another one, which has the mayor of San Juan crying in the media, claiming the government isn’t doing anything, demanding more from President Trump, all that.
And we know which version plays in the media. It’s not the one that has the governor praising the Trump administration.
So, who is this mayor?
Carmen Yulín Cruz is a Bernie Sanders socialist, favored by the Revolution. She has taken credit for Obama’s release of a Puerto Rico nationalist terror bomber. She is demanding “Medicare for Everyone”, an end to PR’s state debt obligations, a $15 an hour minimum wage, and who claims the U S has “colonized” Puerto Rico.
Gee, I wonder if she has an agenda beyond the hurricane rescue and recovery efforts. Do you think she wants the governor’s job?
Naw, no chance of that.
Meanwhile, Mayor Cruz is the big star. Governor Rosello is an after thought.
As Rahm Emanuel, Democrat mayor of Chicago, said when he worked for Obama “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.”
A copy of my friend Johns analysis

Some 73% of people in PR are on one or more forms of welfare.
That should provide insight.

“I’ve seen them crying that they have no food. And their obesity rate is very high.”

I get it, but cheap food is usually high in carbs. $14 for a few sashimi or twenty pounds of rice?

They fly their own flag, speak their own language, then come here sucking off the welfare system.

Why the hell can;t we get rid of the island, and then stop their immigration to here?

Puerto Ricos econonmy was devastated by BILL KLINTOON repeal of Section 936.

He and his fellow communists just couldn't stand the fact that corporations could set up shop there and pay low taxes.

In the 1980's and 90's the economy was booming

Trump is Trump. You hit him, he hits back. Every time. If people don’t know that by now they are not paying attention.

The story is Democrats trying to turn Puerto Rico’s disaster into a ‘Katrina’ for Trump. Believe me we will get a stream of apocryphal tales in MSM from the spin rooms of the left.

Texas and Florida have been able to do an excellent job for themselves with great help from the federal government after Harvey and Irma.
Puerto Rico?
“We will sit back, fold our arms and demand that Trump does everything for us”. They can go take a jump.
