Trump slams Puerto Rico: ‘They want everything to be done for them’
The Hill / MSN ^ | September 30, 2017

President Trump on Saturday criticized Puerto Rico's "poor leadership" and defended his administration's response to the aftermath of Hurricane Maria's devastation on the island. Following a plea for aid by San Juan's mayor, Trump said the mayor was being "nasty."

"The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump," Trump tweeted. "Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help."

"They want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort," he continued. "10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job."

I did notice in some videos that many just don’t pitch in to help. They want it all done right now and that isn’t possible.

I feel for them, but they need to learn to be more independent.

I notice they’re doing a lot of whining, unlike Houston AND Florida.

I have heard that Puerto Rico is a very corrupt country and I’m sure politicos here in America got a hand in it all.

I’ve seen them crying that they have no food.

Nobody’s ignoring those lazy butts. You can’t bring in anything if you have no damn roads.

Oh....and somebody tell Geraldo to please go away.

Yeah, they are dependent babies, we will have to take over the whole place. So glad Trump can call ‘em like he sees ‘em.

Of course, we’ll see the typical lifecycle of a Trump statement:

Leftists will be outraged, celebrities will Tweet their outrage.

And then over time, people will see that Trump was right.

“I did notice in some videos that many just don’t pitch in to help.”

Exactly like parts of New Orleans. Volunteers came in, and locals just sat and watched them work.

Reading between the lines yesterday, the President mentioned that hundreds of containers with badly needed supplies sat in the port because there were no truck drivers, because “they were taking care of their houses that were destroyed.”

That’s much different than in Texas and Florida when men did their jobs even though their houses were going under water. PR never knew how to run their island, and in a crisis, show they are unwilling to learn. They are sitting and waiting for someone else to take care of them.

“I feel for them, but they need to learn to be more independent.”....

And they want to become a new U.S. State? Just what we need, another welfare state. Forget it, we have too many “Gibsmedats” already. You want something, WORK FOR IT!

Trump’s fault for not building a bridge to Puerto Rico to provide relief aid.

But he wants to build a wall around the USA.

“Build bridges, not walls!”

Just can't understand some of these impoverished Caribbean islands. You'd think they'd be flush with economic activity. Namely fishing industry, tourist industry. You'd think also, manufacturing corps would want to put some operations there. I dunno.

With the state Puerto Rico was in after demanding the military bases close, and their corrupt system of infrastructure support, they saw this hurricane as a real rainmaker if you know what I mean. It is just a pale Haiti at this point.

The thought of 10,000 federal government workers coming to help me is ridiculous.

I’ve seen them crying that they have no food.

And their obesity rate is very high.

Trump is very frustrated that he hasn’t been able damage Mexico, as yet, so he is going to take out on Puerto Rico

Trump slams the PR mayor and is now saying that the democrats have ordered the mayor to attack Trump. lol Mr. President, maybe if you didn't attach the mayor he might still like you? Do you think that maybe the president could have just said that PR is broke because of the swamp there and leave out the personal attack?
