Two attorneys at Balch & Bingham and one Drummond Company vice president were indicted Thursday on charges related to the bribery of former Alabama state Rep. Oliver Robinson.

Joel Iverson Gilbert and Steven George McKinney, both attorneys and partners at Balch & Bingham, and David Lynn Roberson, a vice president at Drummond Company, were each indicted on one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, one count of bribery, three counts of honest services wire fraud, and one count of money laundering conspiracy.

The U.S. Attorney's Office has a press conference to talk about the indictment at noon today.

Are we to infer that these indictments might not have issued, had Strange won?

Curious timing.

Easy to deduce the legislator is a Democrat from lack of party identification early in the article.

People like this have not been arrested in Alabama since the Democrats were in charge of the DOJ.

It’s just huge. And the half has not been told.

Well, it’s published by al.com, so they will always cover for the snakes.

But to be completely honest, there are plenty of GOPe snakes involved in this also.

I am sad about Oliver Robinson. He was a hometown boy made good, I think he played for the Spurs. Wasn’t scandal-ish, good family man. I never saw him that he was not well-dressed and well spoken. I was always delighted when our paths crossed in professional settings because he was just a great guy back then.

So I feel a tiny sense of loss. I know he did it to himself, but man what a waste.

Curious, indeed.

Smells to me like the may have thrown the anchor out on the release until big luthor was running in the general.

Could have been used to bust the trump endorsed candidate & hurt trump too??

They published one article prior trying to tie Luther to it, but it was very laid back, not really an all out on what the connection was.

That paper hates Roy Moore, so they carried Luther’s water.

Now they are all in for Doug Jones (the dirty Dem running) and are spending lots of man hours on trying to re-hab his image.

Just saw on Twitter that Judge Moore didn’t report a large amount of income, so it’s about to get really dirty.

I’m not sure where the info came from. I’ll see if I can find it today.

He might have filed an additional income report and they are making hay with it.
