PASCO COUNTY, Fla. - A first grader in Pasco County chose to take a knee during the Pledge of Allegiance, and his mother is upset with how the teacher, the school and the Pasco County school district responded.
At school on Monday, a local first grader went down on one knee during the Pledge of Allegiance, he was then told by his teacher to stand up and stop it, in front of all his classmates. His choice came after countless NFL players took a knee during the national anthem on Sunday, setting off a storm nationwide, sparking discussions in homes across America.
That boy's mother is speaking out because of a text message she received from her son's first-grade teacher about the incident.

oops, the school texted the mother. Mom didn’t send email.
Yeah, we’re really supposed to believe it was the child’s idea to kneel.
Disrespecting our flag and anthem is corrosive to our nation.
For the football league that purports to be for OUR nation, that’s unacceptable.
The league should have nipped this in the bud last year.
They have not and it is spreading.
President Trump was right to call them out.
Countless? You mean, like trillions and trillions?
The only way the school will let the kid kneel is for a signed note from the parent.
If the parent does this the kid is gonna get pounded by his peers.
Might be a good life lesson.

Just have the kid stand outside. It’s the parent’s call.

I can believe the child decided to kneel, cause that’s what they are learning from TV. Just like they are learning morals and language from TV. Sports television is entertainment, and it replaces family time in many homes. Until parents take back their families, combat outside influences, and accept their responsibility to be “parents” rather than “friends”, American families will suffer.
Well I say, “If they take a knee, just give’em the FINGER!!”

My second grade teacher slapped me across the face for doing less. I got it again from my mom after I got home.
This crap will be the death of this country.
Be proud NFL......you SOB’s want to bring up social issues, kid probably doesn’t have a father either. Graduate in 11 yrs with a 6th grade education.

Seems like it could be white, black, brown, across the spectrum. This whole thing is about black racial paranoids and their white liberal enablers.
Wasn’t there recently a Pop Warner footballl team, comprised of 8 year olds, who ‘took a knee’ before their game? The coach and all the kids were of the minority that likes to do this. Being taught to disrespect your country is child abuse. And it will not help you get further in life.
