President Trump said Wednesday the NFLs business model will go to hell unless the league changes its policy to ban players from protesting during the national anthem.
I think the NFL is in a box, Mr. Trump told reporters at the White House. Theyre in a really bad box. In my opinion the NFL has to change. Or you know whats going to happen? Their business is going to go to hell.

Spoken from a man who knows just a “little” bit on how to run a business.
We love you Mr. Trump.
Was listening to Rush theorize as to when the NFL virtue signaling started, and he said he started with Hands Up, Don’t Shoot. At least I think it was Rush, maybe it was Hannity.
But that isn’t when NFL virtue signaling started.
I’m pretty sure it started with wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Look at us, we care, we are all wearing pink.
Just like politicians who wear lapel pins. Look at me, I care more than you, because I have a pin.
Pointless, obnoxious Western symbolism. And now it’s biting them in the ass real damn good, and I don’t feel sorry for them at all.

Interesting.
If this is the case, they think of the Flag as a symbol like a pink ribbon. Not very significant
They’re finding out it’s not
Bet Colin K’s gf who started this whole thing knows what it stands for like any demon possessed person can pick out a consecrated Eucharist in a bowlful of waters
Trump is right.
I encourage the NFL to keep pushing their leftist political protest and agenda!
They can change the policy but, I for one will never forget.
GTHNFL.
Excellent point. The infestation of virtue signaling in the NFL started long before Kaeperpunk decided to make a name for himself in the twilight of his short career. They can definitely go straight to H, E, double hockey sticks.
So far the NHL seems to have a perfect record of respecting the American and Canadian flags, or at least not stomping on them. Once they join in the SJW game, they can go to the same place.
For sure. Hope they have a nice trip on the way down.
Also love you, Mr. Trump.
I’d say it happened when Rush got the bum’s rush.
Don’t listen to Trump, you guys have the Fans and the advertisers on the ropes, now is the time to Double Down by having the Entire Team walk Out with an American Flag Burning during the National Anthem.
Oooooh! That’s good!
Possible, but I’m not sure.
That didn’t really happen on the field in such a way that it was directed to the fans.
Perhaps if they had flags on their uniforms or signs that said “No Rush”, or something along those lines then yes, it would have been a case of virtue signaling.
It’s close though, but was it a case of players/ teams/ league signaling to the fans on a repeated basis? I’m not sure.
Once that happened, the NFL knew that a TV audience of casual fans or even non-fans was more important than what was on the field. At that point, they simply became subject to the whims of whatever nonsense happened to be a fad at the time.
I think I had read something earlier today about a particular NHL player wanting to do the same in the NHL.
They do not seem to get that they are entertainers. Their function is to entertain us. As soon as they fail in that regard, then they are failures at their chosen profession.
If enough of them fail in unison, then their profession could also fail.
Risky game they are playing.
It basically boils down to the fact that no one is interested in being lectured by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, the Dixie Chicks, Chris Evans or Colin whateverhisnameis.
It started with the last strike.......NFLPA is ruining the league.
I remember as a kid watching Monday Night Football from time to time Dandy Don Meredith would give a shout out to a United Way charity. Corporate responsibility is one thing, and helping out when we can is part of (damn, I HATE this smarmy phrase) who we are. It’s also a basic Judeo-Christian principle. But that’s a lot different than this shameless, disingenuous, opportunistic virtue signalling currently going on.
Here’s what needs to happen:
1. Pull all federal funding for the NFL
2. States need to pull funding for their respective teams
3. Cities should insist the owners have a 50% stake in stadiums
4. Not for profit status should be pulled
5. Antitrust laws should be enforced
6. Teams and players should publicly apologize on tv and before the audiences.
Even Canadian NHL fans have more respect for our flag and national anthem than the NFL thugs.
